I love Jungle, but he should have been immediately escorted from the premises and been told he could not rebuy in the tourney.

Tearing up decks of cards is one thing, but once you throw things at other people, you are committing battery. There should be no amount of status that excuses that kind of treatment of another player who has just as much right to play as you do.

this is too funny.
main event day 1b update for Jungle -

Cates was involved in perhaps the biggest pot of the day, during Level 6 (250/500/75) against Kanit. There was around 30,000 in the pot when action exploded on a {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop and a series of raises resulted in Cates getting his remaining stack of 75,275 all in and at risk against Kanit.

Kanit: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Cates: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

It was an interesting spot for both players. Kanit won two massive pots earlier in the day courtesy of aces, while Cates busted the $100,000 Challenge twice on Sunday holding kings only to be shown aces on both occasions.

With approximately 180,000 on the line, the dealer slowly burned and put out the {J-Spades} turn. It was a safe card for Cates, but there was still one more card to come. The dealer burned a third and final time and revealed the {5-Hearts}. Safe again.

Probably because mature adults don't get into fights over trivial stuff?

He does not have it.
He is just way more talented than opponents to compensate this lack.

I threw a deck of cards once at my friend at a home game because he criticized my dealing skills so I don't feel I can judge...

If this is true, it must be because the much greater amts of $ at stake at higher stakes stresses the players out and makes the losses hurt more and make people more prone to temper tantrums.

If a guy loses 100bucks at 3/6 limit, even if he's a total sleazebag and can't afford it, it won't be too hard for him to get it back doing whatever he does for $ in the real world.

But if for example a businessman takes out a marker from the casino and ends up losing 100k in a high stakes game, even those he's more successful and a better class of person, he'd be much more likely to lash out.

From my experience though, the higher stakes the game, the more civil and good-natured it tends to be.

Tips can be better dealing the low to mid stakes games. There used to be a dealer who had a blog about dealing in the Bellagio games and how much she dreaded dealing in the higher stakes games.
