I think its more likely that Blitz doesn't want to risk having his hole cards exposed on tv where people can analyze his play thoroughly and conclude that he isnt actually good at poker and that his money infact comes from daddy

He doesn't seem to claim to be very good at poker, just better than most of the people he play with. I'm sure he'd admit that he's -EV in the 1drop field.

yeah because we all know JRB has outstanding pokerskills. Staking JRB in the one drop would be massive -EV.
Much better players are selling action for the one drop. JRB would be just above the amateurs in this tourney imo

First law of poker physics: He who makes poor decisions on the table will make poor decisions about who to stake.

Seriously though, who else would be idiotic enough to pick up the 70%+ that JRB claims to be staked for One Drop in his Bluff interview? Which, incidentally, is all about his newly renewed bromance with Bilz.

There is no way that letter is real.

It makes more sense to flush the money down the toilet or to pay his entourage of hookers to stay around longer. JRB is an awful proposition to stake (& he'll probably end up final tabling this so I can be quoted later on.)
Pretty sure that guy is just making **** up. JRB says in the interview Dan invested in him before and lost 1 mill so I'm finding it hard to believe that he is the one who staked him.

I doubt the letter is a fake. That is a real law firm with the correct address and phone numbers.
Tom Goldstein has argued over 20 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.

I doubt he would take an ambulance chaser seriously.

Definitely real, and awesome. Tom Goldstein can get away with that kind of flippancy, and it is a SERIOUSLY frivolous case.

Yes, attorneys like deep pocket defendants, but the problem for whats her name is the pockets are TOO deep. He'd rather spend hundreds of thousands defending than pay her a dime, and good for him.

It has been deleted, yes. Maybe he regretted telling the story of him beating up a hooker.

So you've never been involved in any litigation, then.

Lawyers write letters like this all time. You don't often see them because they're usually without prejudice.

I've written some strong costs warnings in the past, never as strong as this in open correspondence but seems she has no prospects of success in the eyes of a very prestigious lawyer, so why not.

She has no prospects in the eyes of anyone who can string together a few logical thoughts.
