The only thing he did "wrong" was not fully disclose holdings in companies over 5% which isn't even something that is morally wrong in any way and even that is debatable whether or not he broke those rules. The SEC is more corrupt than the people they go after. All they got him on were minor, questionable rules violations that are committed by everyone but they needed to pick a scapegoat to publicly hang. The government throwing him in jail for contempt indefinitely, basically holding him hostage until his family paid a ransom, was far worse than anything Paul Bilzerian ever did. Screw the government.
To hate on Dan is ridiculous. You all wish you balled like he does as do I. Yea he has money but he also seems like a fun dude sociable dude who is good looking and that is just as important as the bread. There are young people with more money than him doing nothing crackin. Do you see Mark Zuckerburg at the club? Obviously he got money initially from his family nothing wrong with that. A lot of people get money from the parents to start businesses etc. He clearly has some skill at cards though and is at this point making his own money and investing in projects and stuff making his own way. Why knock him for that? I gave him props for living life to the fullest in the face of the government who tried to sh*t on his family and take that all away.
OK good post. Perhaps there is more to the blizerian money trail than most understand . If no innocent investors were swindled then god bless him on his success. I would agree that just because the govt says you are bad or convicts you of something wrong does not necessarily make it true.
Over the years I have found that money/ wealth is basically a big magnifying glass . It tends to magnify people's basic personality traits . If you are at the core a good solid person it allows you to be a better person. If you are basically a douche, it allows you to be a much bigger douche.
I don't know Dan, never met him but he lost me with the whole beating up hookers thing.
You sound like a friend of his and if so maybe help him understand there is no place in this world for that BS. Nobody is perfect and in the heat of the moment we all say/do things that we think might be funny or interesting, but in retrospect were just awful and horribly wrong.
Does he have the balls to come out and agree that was just all wrong?
Would hate for the young impressionable dan fan's, who might look up to him think that beating up on any young girl or woman is in any way funny or acceptable within our society.
Thank you.
