BP is the least nervous about paying out. That's what's great. He makes the rules but cares the least about the bet. The dudes who bet $500 are pissed. And so is Rick Soloman but Bill is just loving life and enjoying every bit of this. IMO he has always expected to Dan to be a favorite it's just worth it to him for the enjoyment.

I wonder what % advantage the van gives...perhaps energy cost...ten percent...twenty? Substantial at any rate. And he still gets the wind at his back.

I've never ridden a recumbent bike. What's the advantage there? Is it easier / easier on the back/butt? Can you go just as fast?
