Re: Could isildur1 get his money back because of Hastings + co 'cheating'

Could have isildur have beat hastings if he didn't have help from CTS and BT? Yes definitely since Hasting's already said they developed a game plan to beat him.

Do I care if isildur gets his money back? No, I couldn't give a ****, if he never plays poker again I won't care.

Do I want the BT/CTS/Hastings to be punished further? No, I couldn't give a **** about that either.

I don't even care if they make sharing HH etc. legal.

I may not even consider what they did cheating.

What I dislike is the bias that FTP shows towards its sponsored pro's, they're basically sending the message that they can break the rules and if caught they will receive a slap on the wrist, whereas anyone else will get a lifetime ban and who knows maybe even have funds confiscated.

BT broke the same rule JJ did and gained an advantage with it.

so much fail in this thread. comparing this to live poker lol. comparing bt playing under a diffrent name to JJP playing multiple diffrent names in the same tournaments lol. people saying cole and hastings cheated because townsend bought hand histories...lol.

If you guys actually feel this strong about it complain about PTR not the people who use it (even if you dont like them)
quoted for truth.

people were asking about BT's first suspension, he answers questions from HSNL about it in this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...pology-285131/

THEIR PUNISHMENT FOR DATAMINING IS A WARNING! can we just quote this over and over again so people can stop misrepresenting the truth. A WARNING. Thats it. A warning. Nothing more. EVER. If someone has opened a 2nd account solely for datamining, that account is closed and their funds are moved to their original account.

BT received a HARSHER punishment than normal.

BT also multi accounted and played on it though right? Before this incident? And many have been banned for that and not just had a warning. Is that right?

Was this also not the 2nd time he has broken the rules and received a lesser sentance than the first time? This should also contribute not just the severity of the rule breaking.

What South, Townsend and Hastings are said to have done is NOT the same as buying the hands from PTR. They combined their three databases of 50,000 hands so Townsend could draw up a report on Isildur1's play.

These hand histories were not the same as the observed hands that anyone could have bought from PTR. Because they contain details of Isildur1's cards mucked at showdown which are only available to the players in the hand!

So yes, they were giving themselves an advantage over and above just using datamining sites.

Haven't people realised yet that nothing is ever going to come out of this and FTP will continue to act as they do, they rake in millions of dollars from their players every month, the majority of whom are oblivious to the "scandals" and simply couldn't care less.

This. And even if they care, they could just pay loads of cash if they get caught.
