Rich took down the Derby Poker Championship in Louisville, Kentucky with a set of Sevens for $14K. Phil Helmuth hosted it with Robert Williamson III and a crapload of other celebrities to kick off the Kentucky Derby orgy weekend of drinking and partying. Thanks to UB and FullTillt for throwing a whole lot of swag and extras.
I was the Bubble Boy at 11th when Phil Helmuth told the micro stacked Beth Shaak(?) to fold and my AA got cracked by the case King on the river.
GG me but it was a fun night.

Strange how when a public figure pays his own way into a $550 and wins people expect him to donate the win back.
I know he took the bad end of the chop for the sake of the PPA. Should he be expected to do more than he already does?

As a limit player, taking down a tourney with Beth Shak and Phil Helmuth at the final table was very gratifying. I still can't believe I took it down.
