Yes, I know. I specifically meant his replies in that thread that got it deleted.

it definitely feels like all the "floor" guys at the rio are an old boys club that could use a shakeup

If your on the rail, cheer all you want. NEVER TAUNT A PLAYER, EVER FROM THE RAIL

Can be no justification for either 10 seat, the gf, or WSOP staff here
.
Interesting comments since your sweet little snowflake admitted in a podcast interview a few days ago to having engaged in the exact same sort of behavior from the rail in other tournaments. Here's his exact quote: "I've been the guy that's antagonizing someone from the rail, okay. I know the rules. If you antagonize someone from the rail, they give you one warning and they kick you out."

So your meek little victim is perfectly fine with engaging in the exact same behavior that he is now complaining about. He taunts players from the rail until he is warned that he'll be kicked out and then he apparently quiets down.

So if, as you say above, that there can be absolutely no justification for ever taunting a player from the rail, then what say you to your little good-natured twitter friend who's a good person with a good heart?

Is this why Poker Go didn't stream the Colossas FT?

I think it more had to do with Dnegs running deep at the same time, but could also potentially be the reason why as well, didn't want to make the WSOP/RIO look bad in anyway.

I think that this was his point...... that the rules were not enforced to control the rowdy rail and that favouritism appeared to be shown towards them/the players that they were rooting for.

Yes obviously he is not perfect and has some faults he's owned up to, but this therefore makes it much more likely that he's giving a real account of what happened.

Don't tell us, tell (or tweet) him!

BTW, has it occurred to you that if Vrabel hadn't previously engaged in the exact same behavior that he was subsequently complaining about when he was the target rather than the antagonist, that the floor might have reacted a little differently?

Some of the logic above is warped to say that because he's admitted previously being a rowdy railer that any rowdy railing that crosses the line of acceptability is now okay if done to him specifically.

Whilst you *might* be able to partly argue this on a karma level it clearly doesn't apply to a modern civilised society where if you commit an "offence" it doesn't then mean others can commit that same offence against you with impunity.

Even if you do believe such a lynch mob, vigilante type system to be fair then you are jumping to a big conclusion that the floor had prior knowledge that Luke Vrabel had a few beers during the 2015 WSOP $1500 NLHE or whatever, was rowdy on the rail, was warned and then quietened down.

I think what happened is pretty clear cut, he was disadvantaged by it, and the floor for whatever reason bowed to some kind of mob rule mentality and sided with the group and didn't treat the individual even handedly enough.

The only area I would disagree with Luke on is him calling for the Jason guy (the TD I assume) to be fired. That is unrealistic IMO as Luke is just one player of thousands who play every year and the TD is a long standing employee.

Jason might be brilliant, good, bad or indifferent at his job, I don't know, but people are allowed to have a bad day or go through a bad patch or to get their wires crossed when dealing with people, or quite possibly to be under enormous amounts of stress in the work place. I've never been a TD or a member of floor staff or a dealer but I'd imagine that it's a pretty thankless task that quite often involves dealing with quite a lot of angry, losing or uncivil customers on an ongoing basis, so it's not surprising that some of these floor staff don't have their A game 100% of the time and occasionally make mistakes or give bad rulings.

So as I said earlier ITT it would be good if all sides could reach an amicable compromise because it is only a game, nobody is perfect, and tensions can naturally run high when there are thousands of players for the floor to manage and when an individual player can win or lose life changing money on the turn of a card.

You may be a prolific writer who seems to compose a thesis with every post, but you need to spend a couple of extra minutes actually reading and comprehending what others have written. No one has stated that what happened to him was in any way "okay." We've all basically said that he's a whiny hypocrite for engaging in the exact same behavior that he's been complaining about now for days in the most vile language imaginable. We've also stated that the fact that he does have a history of trying to taunt/antagonize players from his position on the rail is probably why the floor did not take stronger action to stop the taunting directed at him. Again, no one is saying that that was the appropriate action (or more accurately, non-action) for the floor to take; just that it was a little bit of Karma and served him right.

So Tournament Directors and floor personnel should be able to decide to enforce a rule or not based on if they like or don't like the player affected. Sounds good.

A few things

First, I want to say I consider Luke a friend. We aren't close but we get along and say hey every now & then. Also, we have gotten into it before and he is like a pit bull when he's angry and can definitely cross some lines

Now to what happened. I have heard from several players I know to be honest that Luke's account is exactly what happened. That makes Matt Affleck a punk and his girl a Real gem as well. It also shows an utter lack of professionalism by the floor. There's really not much else to say. I wish I wouldn't have been at Venetian. I would've told Luke to put on his headphones and I would have gone and gotten Jack Effel or Charlie Ciresi and it would have been handled but it is what it is.

No reason to let these clowns win though Luke so suck it up and get back to Rio and make another run

I think everyone should have simmered down if only because Luke seems like the sort of guy who might show up to the Rio one day with a trenchcoat and a TEC-9.
