Re: "Collusion" in WSOP Event #1

I would have thought that this guy being in on the joke and being pretty cool about it would have taken the steam out of the thread. Alas, I've yet again overestimated NVGtards

No chance a pro makes a mistake, please you totally overestimate what it is like to play all day every day.

The guy made a mistake, that's all there is to this and by event #10 the new kids on the Amazon floor would not even bother to report this.

I meant no chance he was doing out of "what's the point, you won't call anyway?" stupidity, like the guy in my hand. Which means he misread his hand.

I got a warning for it and was needled badly (and rightly so) for as long as I lasted in that event which was obv not to long by the level of play I showed today.
To anyone with the least bit of common sense it was obvious from the beginning that you misread your hand. It can happen to anyone.

If posters in this thread have never misread their hand or the board, they haven't played enough poker, imo. Good luck to you and Katja in the series.

Von Halle at it again:

Jan von Halle..."I'm Out? How?"

2-7 Triple Draw: After the second draw in 2-7 triple draw, Jan von Halle flipped his hand over and showed the 3-4-5-6-7. Johnny Chan saw this and bet to put von Halle all in. Von Halle was confused as he didn't realize there was another betting round. He called anyway and couldn't quite understand why the pot was shipped to the two-time Main Event champion Chan. Von Halle must not have realized that straights count against you in 2-7 triple draw and was eliminated because of his mistake. Chan took the pot with a eight low.

Now thats probably PokerNews humor as this hand not happened this way. I was all in before the last draw and catched a straight with 3-4-5-6-J when I got a 7. I was making a sarcastic remark, probably thats because they wrote it this way.

Drawing one to a 3-4-5-6 is a horrible, horrible play, especially when you have a made J already.

DUCY?

Re: "Collusion" in WSOP Event #1

How could this ever be thought of as collusion? If they were colluding, that would be the last way the hand would get played out. Whichever one of them they wanted to have the chips would just bet and other would fold. Checking the nuts on the river benefits them in no way if they are cheating.
