I was reading the summons document from plaintiff Cycalona Gowen against Full Tilt Poker and a bunch of other organisations, and persons. Everything seemed to be right, until this came up:

"Plaintiff is informed and believes and thereupon alleges that Defendant Antonius is a citizen of the republic of Denmark"

Antonius is from Finland, not Denmark. Does Gowen really think Hansen is the evil brother of Antonius..?

I dont think it matters though, just something I noticed.

Oh, and also. Denmark is not a republic, it's monarchy

I think they meant to say "Republic of Finland" as that name is never used for Denmark, but it is the name of Finland. Antonius is a citizen of Finland and has residences in Monte Carlo and Las Vegas.

The documents show that he was served like all the other individual defendants, so I doubt this mistake matters at all.

she's ****ed...no contract no money...your word against his will NOT hold up in court. If she has no documentation of her being owed that 1% its already over before it starts...

There have been many comments here that dispute that position, and I doubt her lawyers are dumb enough to take a moot case.

As someone who's read a hell of lot of written contracts...ROTFLMAO.

You dont need everything to be in writing. She has an argument if none of the other "owners" have contracts. I think this is basically a strong arm move by her know that FT isnt going to want to go through discovery.

Its a pay day regardless for her

Here's some interesting info found online about the various companies:

Pocket Kings - a real operation in Ireland where all the FT programmers, marketers, and other corporate staff work. They advertise jobs online. This is where they moved the operations of the original Tiltware from Los Angeles. They claim to just license the software to Full Tilt and provide marketing services, keeping them separate from the operating (gambling) company.

Filco Ltd, Alderney (aka Full Tilt Poker) - appears to be just a shell company to hold the Alderney gambling license, administered by the Kensington Corporation in Alderney. Kensington handles the licensing and administration for almost all gambling operators that are licensed in Alderney, and the operating companies don't have real offices there. There probably are no FT employees in Alderney.

Kolyma AVV, Aruba - their address is in the Miramar office building which houses mostly trust companies, offshore banks, attorneys and accountants catering to offshore businesses. I would guess the address goes to a trust company that manages a lot of these shells and there are probably no real FT employees in Aruba either. Here is what an AVV company is.

Mohawk IT in Kahnawake is where the servers are physically located, and they host servers for virtually all online poker sites that allow North American players. They are just a hosting service provider. Kahnawake also runs the KGC licensing agency for the companies hosted at Mohawk. That's a cozy setup.
