Just want to say that prior to that long convo ^ with Jose we (like 6 of us) had been looking into Jose for about a week or so gathering evidence. We had been working hard to get this right. And Jose just came to me out of the blue and I had to make some pretty quick decisions on my own about what to say to him, and how to speak to him, in order to not mess things up (for busting him) and get the most info I could....I say this because I'm sure many people will be surprised by my none "F U" attitude towards him in that chat log. And again, at this point, it was plausible his friend was infact just chilling at his house and he didn't actually cheat us.

Clearly this guy was used by these established names to sell training. That is obvious from the original Girah thread in which he emphasizes getting training from certain individuals which transformed him from us (range from losing hopefuls to mid level grinders) into them (high limit semi-famous ballers). In that effort some facts got smudged, some white lies told.

But dogis head is a stand up guy. I only know that from listening to one free training video, but there is just no way he would try to out and out scam somebody. Either that or I have absolutely no ability to read people at all.

What happened here is that Girah and the name pros were using each other for their own purposes and Girah went way off track and started scamming people, probably because deep down he just isn't what they wanted him to be and he knows that. Girah knew it was a house of cards (pun credit accepted).

The name pros exploited this kid but they were not being super unethical at any point. They did go down the proverbial slippery slope and this is what happens when you do that. Slippery slopes are everywhere. Avoiding them takes wisdom which you can only get by age and experience which is not in great supply in the poker world these days so you here stories like these. The victims are getting restitution which is more than what %99 of the world's victims get so everyone disband themselves from the poker lynch mob ffs.

I can't help but feel that this is the kind of thing you should think about before scamming your friends.

So has anyone even considered the amount of money that Girah possibly scammed out of people from coaching (legit coaching but being overly represented in his skill set)? If he is in fact a fraud and was charging quite a lot of money per hour with allegedly a 50 person waitlist, that is a TON of money for someone to rake in. I believe someone who received coaching from him earlier was a bit dissatisfied with the lessons but I'd like to hear from more of the students...

As far as I know of his coaching, I've only seen his first video where he basically covered two hands that were already thoroughly discussed on 2+2 which really didn't bring any new information that wasn't already covered throughout the threads.

This behavior doesnt make sense...people who crush in poker don't cheat like this. If Jose had a friend who was down a lot of money, and he wanted to cheat to help his friend, he'd at least play on his account or something to help him win it back. It makes very little sense to just scam your own students. Especially in such an obvious way..it just reeks of someone who is desperate...so connect those dots however you want.

could it really be a coincidence that Girah came to these guys to "confess" right after they started discussing amongst themselves that something might be up? someone probably tipped him off to the fact that they were getting suspicious and he realized he should try to come clean before they went public with it.
