Re: classic stevesbets tilt
Steve is probably going to kill me for poasting this, but...
This is a picture I took at the 2007 PCA. I was staying in a double suite with him and shrew (xxxnutxxx on FTP). He was getting killed by some guy named crudebar and this is what he looks like when he's tilted.

FWIW, I've known Steve for a really long time (maybe like 15 years) and he's a good friend of mine, he's just a tad tilty at times. I don't think there's anything more entertaining than Steve tilting, especially in person.

lol crudebar; that's the guy who would just play HU SnG's on Prima I think. Super-patterned nit iirc but prolly pretty good in those turbos.
Also, I've come to love TGSB, but his chat pretty much reflects how it feels to play him when he's rushing and capping every street with 20% equity max in O8 and getting there every time.

Re: classic stevesbets tilt
I agree with Nat's comments. I am a close friend of Steve, and I find the dichotomy between his online and live personae to be striking. In person, he is trustworthy, humorous, intelligent, and an all-around good guy. When I ask him to name players that he deems to be of above-average ability, he struggles. However, he is at ease with rattling off the terrible players. With his consistently negative language regarding poker, I have learned to calibrate the intent of his words. For example, "terrible" means average and someone who he says is "ok" is a world-class player.
He is aware of these threads, and friends remind him how foolish he looks. He agrees, but he cannot help himself in the heat of the moment. I hung out with him for a couple of weeks this month in Las Vegas. When he was playing at my place on my computer, I feared for the condition of my equipment, as I heard loud noises and groans. I joked to him not to use the "suicide balcony" of my high-rise unit. He replied, "I serious am." With that reply, I got a bit worried and made sure to keep the door in sight in case I had to make a run to thwart any suicide attempt. I told him, "Not only would I not like to lose you as a friend, but also, I don't want to fill out endless paperwork and answer questions from security and police if you kill yourself from my place."
When he was gambling in his Wynn suite, I was rail-birding in the room, but he got abnormally angry that it was actually uncomfortable to be in his presence. But usually, it is mildly entertaining and somehow it doesn't get old.
