Re: Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"

I do not see how Hachem has the right to yell out "one more time" when he already had his time. and knowing him if you were to sit down and say something about it to him hed try to chew you out. Fact of the matter is he had is "one time" on 2004 and he does not need any more "one times" because I guess tons of people would have liked to trade places with him winning the 04 WSOP ME.

It does annoy me no question because how many one more times can you get? you won the ******* WSOP ME on 04 you HAD to get lucky to make a deep run in those things and HE DID PLENTY OF TIMES through ought the tourney!

Joe is a great player and I think hes as good or better than yang and gold and moneymaker. Hachem easily makes a living of poker since hes a solid tourney player and cash player however in order to FT and WIN these Main Events you must get lucky not only once or twice but Im guessing 6 or 6+ times.

Who really cares? Numerous poker players have said this before. It's just a way to steam at the time. Why make such a big deal about nothing?

Thank you for thispost. It is pretty silly that six years later people bend over backwards to rip the guy's play apart. I'm sure all the life successes on this site never get mad when they stack off light in Mom and Dad's den. How can anyone possibly say much about Money's 03' win being an example of running one way or another anyway? What % of his hands that year did you see him play?

I am not sure how many tourneys of his that get paid by Poker Stars but I would hope that he would never have to pay an entry again. For that matter, Poker Stars should pay him an annual salary and never take his photo off the lobby, for the poker boom that started after his win and ESPN's coverage in '03. No question, he wasn't the best player in '03 and was lucky to win but I you will have to give him credit for having the "guts" to put his chips in. I tend to always pull for the amateurs, like Moneymaker, Steve Daneman, or Dennis Phillips. I hope there will be a no name, "nobody", at the final table this year!!!

He has 13 WSOP cashes, including the ME win and 5 final tables, as well as 2 WPT cashes. So he's either the luckiest donk in the world, or has at least some skill.

Re: Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"

Hey guys come on. If it wasn't for Moneymaker not only would there have been no poker boom, but there also wouldn't be a bunch of people running around the table like idiots after winning a big pot. Prior to 2003 and Moneymaker yelling and making a ruckus at the table on ESPN, there was no dancing and taking laps around the table when guys won. Guys like Rain Khan would have never gotten the idea to do such stupidity until they saw Moneymaker doing his laps every hand on TV. The next best thing was Jerry Yang yelling at the top of his lungs every time the lord gave him a purpose and won a hand in the name of Jesus Christ.

I believe I speak for everyone in the forums when I say MONEYMAKER LAP!!!!!!!! GO MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
