Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"
So my buddy called me from vegas the other day and he was playing 5/10/25 PLO with Moneymaker after Moneymaker bubbled the 40k. He immediately spewed in the game playing terrible like normal and he starts whining about his tournaments and the flip he lost to bubble.....blah blah blah. He then makes the statement "I tell you what though guys, no one runs worse than me in tournaments, I run so bad you have no idea"..
The whole table explodes.
"Are you f'king serious Chris"
"Wow Chris, REALLY?"
"Holy ****"
"Un-be-leivable"
"Right Chris, Thanks for making all our lives easier buddy"
"W.....T........F"
My buddy said it was epic.
He continiues to get stuck for what my friend says atleast 10k whining and complaning. He told me how he made a 2200 bluff on river with a side pot w/ complete air and after moneymaker folds hes sitting there rebuilding his hand and moneymaker loses his mind. LMFAO

Re: Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"
well if he wasnt sponsored he'd barely be up in tournaments even with his main event win, it's not like he's won as much as joe hachem or jamie gold or whatever. Still funny obviously, but not that ironic.
Losing 6 years in a row as a pro must suck.

If it happened just the way your friend said then I agree its laughable. But its no different than hering Hachem and half the other people say "just one time".

Re: Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"
Would it be very rude to ask him where he thinks he would be now if he`d really run bad in tourneys?

Re: Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"
He did all his "running good" in one tournament. I would gladly take that deal, let me run good and win the ME and run terrible forever afterward...

who would be playing poker unless 100% sponsored after winning ME? Youre set for life and your kids aswell (with a bbbballa lifestyle) If you don't hit bobby's room and ****.
Ok, moneymaker only made 2,5m or something that year he won, but the **** he've made due to the pokerboom in commercials and other stuff would so surpass the winnings.

Re: Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"
Statements like that are just ridiculous. With the size of an ME field these days, anyone who wins one can never ever say, "I run bad" again. It reminds me of a tournament I was watching where Hachem ran bad(can't remember the exact tournament) and he says, "Its the story of my life." I remember thinking WTF!!!!

Re: Chris Moneymaker: "I run so bad in tournaments"
I wish i had it as bad as him. He's got such a hard life. ME champ, 2.5 mil in the bank, free donkaments, etc. Must suck to be him, he runs bad at life.

If you talk about the Main Event he won, it was all skill since, he did the bluff against Farha, and no one in this forum can be that donk to repeat that kind of performance in World Championships of poker. You should be donk enough to beat those fields. Raymer, Moneymaker, Gold and Yang have only one thing in common, all are all huge donks.
