yeah this comparison between banking and online poker is pointless. fractional lending only applies to the banking system and not to other non financial industries including online poker. Banks have the transparent right to lend out a large proportion of the money they receive from customers. FTP has absolutely no right to invest, distribute, spend or do anything else with player balances that is not fully disclosed

Still hard to believe neither went to jail when it seems like in America its not too hard to get jailed for long periods of time. They were at best responsible for hundreds of thousands of people losing their money while operating an illegal enterprise.

Not when it comes to white collar crime. You'd struggle to find a single Director, VP or C-level exec who has gone to jail for financial misconduct. The Enron guys are the only ones that spring to mind.

They Stole The Money

The only way a board member could have been honorable (and they all had major ownership) is:

1. If they had made sure No players money was paid out to themselves and the other owners in the form of "dividends" or dished out to friends and allies as loans overly generous perks

2 They quickly went public with this extrodinary business model. And watched the players run for the hills.

It was IMPLIED that the board was not putting the PLAYERS money in their pockets in the form of dividends. Even what they spent out of the players money on "legitimate" things was egregious.

One board member was a 9 percent owner receiving 9 percent of every dividend dollar... here is a dollar of players money and here is 9 cents for me.. etc... etc

The board and CEO are responsible for dividend policy and other major company decisions. And they all knew Full Tilt was short players money.

The insider line was Future Cash flow- even though everyone knew what could happen. Regardless, you don't secretly put the players money in your pocket.

The governments line was Ponzi Scheme.

For over four years they were taking players money without telling the players.

Black Friday did not stop Stars and Party from paying because they did not steal the money.(umm.. dividends, loans, perks).
