WSOP website has not been updated yet, but Pokerstrategy reporting that he is currently sat in Second place.

Current WSOP site reading as:

https://www.pokerstrategy.com/news/w...e-Year_101341/

I feel like this would be about the biggest '**** you' that the American Poker Community could get if he actually managed to take it.

Jesus F'in Christ!

How soon until he gets hired as a "poker ambassador" by PStars?

He has 5 bracelets and would have been playing all those events anyway. I think it would be amusing if he won POY.

This is the reason why some people in the poker community scam other poker players. Because they can get away with it np. Infact they'll scam you one day then sit at your dinner table the next day, because they know you won't do a thing. The guy fvcks up online poker for an entire country and he can still walk into the WSOP. Hilarious!

would be interested to know if WSOP would do anything if he won - would be pretty detrimental to their brand.

Wonder if he will make the trip to WSOPe if he is in contention...

Lol at pretty detrimental. This is as negligible as it could get.

As negligable as it could yet? Right, name a player who would be worse to win Player of the Year?

Pretty sure the playing population are not going to enjoy sitting under a huge banner of Lederer holding blocks of cash in the Rio...

Are you aware that Chris Ferguson won the Main Event in 2000 and the implications of that banner-wise?

Yeah - got that. But it's a bit different for something that happened before, and something that happened after, especially given how unpopular he knows he is.

I didn't even lose money - but I would still feel pretty pissed.

But will it change anyone's behavior? I would challenge you to find a single person that would change their wsop plans because Chris Ferguson won a title that gives him a banner at the rio.

"With 12 cashes so far this year Ferguson is also in contention to break the most cashes in a single WSOP record which currently stands at 13."

That is a pretty amazing stat, especially given that he had 10 WSOP cashes last year. Is he still a nit?

That's why him and Howard get along so well.

You ask that like it's a bad thing.

The best way to shoot free throws is underhanded and the most consistent way to cash in a tourney is by being a nit, but most are too embarrassed to try despite the proven rewards. PH does both.

Have there been any reports of people capping on him this year? I only lost $1500 when they shut down but if I was at his table he would get an earful.

But it's not as impressive when you remember that for years WSOP paid 10% but now they pay 15%

How impressive it is depends on how many events he enters, though that figure in itself could be impressive at his age (or any age past 19).

To be honest I am kind of rooting for him. I like a comeback story. And for all the people who despise him .... I don't see him scared to walk into the RIO. I guess put up or shut up.

I can't tell if this thread is saying people should get into a fight with him or they can't say anything? Seems to be a bit dumb.

Ferguson is pure scum. He should be playing poker for cigs with the other inmates in a federal prison.

Only in America can you literally rip people off for 100's of millions of dollars and get off scot free.

I guess most all issues boil down to the 'what are you going to do about it' question. Whine and complain don't count.
