Of course a big difference is that poker isn't again the House...but still.

again this is just 1 hand from 1 dealer.

I know people who have done well on chico poker over large samples. From what I recall, the rake is relatively high, but other than that no reason to be suspicious.

I watched a couple of videos of chico live blackjack and saw no other examples of cheating.

Do you think higher ups in chico orchestrated this one hand to make an extra couple of hundred bucks or whatever it was, risked their reputation, and never did it any other time.

Is it a coincidence the dealer looks up seems to be given some instruction and magically pulls the second card that is perfect for the house?

To know when and which cards to manipulate means there is a systematic issue here.

Live blackjack dealers are often forcing fake smiles. It's a part of their job description.

Wow unreal. This was 100% intentional.
Compare his actions how he draws the first card vs. the 2nd out of the shoe.

Before he lifts the card, u can see him feel the card 2-3 times, one time with his thumb and then with his index finger. A very easy way to cheat would be to mark high cards, and when a player doubles, (or other instances where player need a high card) deal him the second card.

Dont underestimate just how much the house-edge can be skewed this way.

He might be laughing at the ploppy that split 2's against a 10 in European hole card blackjack. I know I would be.

I'm not sold. Let's find another instance. Surely someone has videos of this game from the past or more of the session in the video. If they find another incident, we know it's a pattern. If they don't, we know it's a dealer error.

Keep in mind that taking the wrong card kept the dealer from being able to draw against the 19 and 21. Would a house cheat a single time to beat a player that is going to lose it all eventually by playing so poorly while at the same time giving it no chance to beat the other two players? Wouldn't they save it up for when they know an ace is there for the scoop?

Re: Chico poker network skin BetOnline blackjack dealer caught cheating

I have a knowledgeable source that offered this explanation as to how the dealer may have known the top card was large/favorable to the player.

The large value cards may have a different texture than the lower cards. For example, when the dealer was flicking his finger over it he can sense a rough texture instead of a smooth back of a low value card.

Maybe this, maybe that. I've watched about 1.5 hours of footage and haven't seen any more evidence of cheating. How much can doing this maybe once every 2 hours is worth how blatant it is, and how easy to catch. So I assume they don't actually do it and this is an isolated incident. Until proven otherwise.

You can't just assume something doesn't happen, while watching it happen. We clearly are in the age of alternative facts.

Is there an example of a casino ever getting caught doing this?

The video is an hour (and there should be hours and hours more of recordings on the channel/twitch/whatever). If this was an intentional setup used to defraud players, this move would be done regularly over that time period. If this is the only time it has ever been seen it's greatly more likely that it's a spazz from the dealer.

naw, we're in an age where people are more willing to blindly believe than to look at the facts. Let me break it down for you.

PROVEN FACT: A dealer dealt the second card from the top when he should have dealt the first

NOT PROVEN FACT: The entirety of chico is rigged and you should steer clear of all of their products

Re: Chico poker network skin BetOnline blackjack dealer caught cheating

No one has put forth the right hypothesis yet.

Everyone keeps saying "oh this seems so isolated" and while that may be true, WHY is it true?

If the operator typically can doctor the video stream somehow when they pull this, then this only seems like an isolated incident because they messed up covering up the switch this time.

I'm not in video production but a mostly static image with a small area that needs to be obfuscated, only for a second, and that area is always in the same place, seems like an easy thing to do.

the friendly smile laugh just makes it even more devious. A dealer usually keeps routines, and definitely doesn't look like one.

As I've already said, the male live dealers look like this all the damn time.

In blackjack, an 8 is a neutral card. An 8 would never be lumped in with "large/high" cards.

the 2 more likely scenarios would be 1. Invisible ink where the camera operator knows next card is specifically the 8 but still doesn't know the 2nd card. 2. Dealer spazz.

But I will also offer a 3rd. This Mr. Pro BJ dude just started a YT account and has been trying to get followers, kinda like the Doug Pork of BJ. Supposedly, he literally lit $10,000 cash on fire in one of his videos. So...maybe....just maybe....he paid off Bryan (the dealer) to do this. These dealers are actually not hard to get in contact with. And maybe...just maybe.... for the right price he was willing to "spazz" one card all day on stream so that MR. PRO BJ can capture it and spread it like wildfire (just as it has). After all, he's gangsta....thats what a gangsta would do.

hard for me to believe the dealer didnt intentionally do this based on the way his hand moved.

Hi Pokeraddict:

I know the source where the information about rough or smooth came from. What I was told was that this was a problem years ago in Korea. The way the card counters beat it was to put vasaline on their fingers which would then get on the chips and then get on the dealer's hands. Once this happened the cheating dealer couldn't feel the texture of the cards anymore.

Best wishes,
Mason

It looks shady. The site could lose all credibility.
Could be an honest mistake.
Could be just one of many ways the site cheats players.

The one thing I don't get is, why? You're printing money.
As long as they have a handle on costs, they are printing money.

You need to work on your probabilities. There are percentages other than 100% and 0%.

Your perceived probability of me being a shill should have been much less than 100%.

Your perceived probability of chico being %100$ rigged should be <100% too.
