Generally, do people ask to be included to WIKI or does WIKI ussually ask you? If the policy was the latter, a lot of unconfortably embarrasing moments could be dodged.

Personally I think he's more then worthy.

Anyone can write up a wiki article. It then goes to approval were mods research and determine if it is wiki worthy

Regardless of what you think of his personality, Chainsaw is clearly more deserving of a Wiki than numerous other "poker pros" with Wiki page according to Wikipedia's own criteria.

Agreed, compared to many so called poker pros with wiki pages Chainsaw clearly

The best Wiki story is when Dan Druff created a Wiki page for himself years ago. One of the posters over at Micon's site volunteered to be a Wikipage Editor and then contacted Druff. He told Druff that many of his poker accomplishments were minor and were going to be deleted. He tilted the hell out of Druff and hilarity ensued.

More Druff (Todd Witteles) hilarities. Druff has this God awful radio show, and has bad-mouthed Hellmuth for years. Recently on the air, he called Phil's phone after bracelet #12. Hellmuth unwittingly answered. He was ambushed (but not). Hellmuth talked for 20 minutes and Druff advertised that episode as "Our special guest Phil Hellmuth". To demonstrate his phony nature, Druff kissed Phil Hellmuth's ass and said absolutely nothing negative during the "fluff" interview with Hellmuth. LOL

On the subject at hand, I think Allen should have a Wiki, because the man, the Chainsaw, is nearly a living poker legend!

Correct but it isn't mods its just other editors (editor on wikipedia means the same as poster here). Anybody who sees this thread could go there and give their opinion about whether or not he was notable enough to have his own article.

Inclusion of poker players is strict. Lots of people who have won a big tournament can't have their own articles because its for 'one event' and the subject is 'not likely to be newsworthy again'.

I don't know much about chainsaw but if there have been a lot of news articles written about him he would by definition be 'notable' and could have an article. It would just be a matter of somebody putting in the work so it is good enough that the first few people who see it (not mods) are cool with it. The key is lots of reputable sources writing about him referenced in the article.
