doug was trying too hard to be nice by saying she was on low-midstake level. tbf i actually have no idea of the skill level of 100nl hu regs, but i'd offer cate 5:1 that she couldn't beat 100nl 6m over 100k hands, and most 100 regs probably move their lips when they read

that being said i think everyone already knew she was the better player, mike was def running poor but he played so awfully it was clear he wouldnt have had a shot anyway unless he coolered her to victory

That statement is equally as laughable.

I already didn't like Mike, so biased and it's a waste of time to even comment on people that act the way he does. But the 10 mins after loses and runs in the booth is just hilarious and sad. He is so insecure.

Also Deeb and Polk - funny how quick they changed gears when he ran in there. Shredding him from the booth to "you couldn't of won with the cards you had". Which I guess they aren't going to sit there and roast him, but it was funny.

They didn't change gears though. Deeb flat out told him he played "terrible" when he first started complaining in the booth and he wasn't playing his best. It's possible to think he played terribly and say he couldn't have won with the hands he was dealt.

Fair point. It was hard to hear/confusing when he came in.

They did a great job, wasn't trying to take away from their good work.

Dentale made a good point asking for receipts of Hall's alleged 500K/yr legal gig.

Many people in the limelight like to create their own origin myth.

Then there are those like joeingram1 (Papi!) who need to see the receipts. Well? Have the receipts been validated?

Was interesting to see Mike bring this up. Was surprised he didn't press her a little more about this during the match.

The standard for someone at her level of seniority at an elite big law firm for when she left was bout $350k. Pretty much any Yale law grad can get in the door at one of those firms, too. Very few D.C. firms pay 500k to sixth years, though it's not impossible she made that much.

Her former firm pays base salary of $275k to third year and higher associates. Year-end bonuses ranged from $100K to $300K for 2014.

I looked it up. It took about as long to find the info as it does to write a post saying she's lying http://abovethelaw.com/2015/01/assoc...n-powerhouses/

500k is not a reach at all for senior associates at her former firm.

Bill Perkins (on his stream) said he would pay $5k as a free role for cate if she could produce evidence of this too. He also called BS in this.

Fair enough. You must cut a little slack to us (we?) uneducated NVGtards.

Salary investigations aside, you must really hate your 500K job to play live poker.

Every day it sounds like /r/The_Donald, and smells like Stealthmunk with a 5x open

Deeb and Polk were ****in brilliant in the booth together. Two top players, with different skill sets & slightly different approaches to the game made for great banter and analysis, that was really easy on the ear but substantive when it needed to be.

Both of them can talk for fun and don't take themselves too seriously on camera. Really natural chemistry. It made the event so much more entertaining. I'd love to see them do a WSOP event.

And we do need more grudge matches. Grudge matches are great for poker. Dentale played his part really well, he probably didn't have to try too hard, but even so. He's not a super villain but he's not bad. His final message to the grinders to keep grinding, and that the most important thing was the charity donations...kinda won me over.

The match was for a decent but not life changing amount of cash, the format seemed fine, we should have more of these matches but it has to be genuine, there has to be proper needle.

Agree for the most part. Still have little to no respect for MD.

God i wish that Mike guy wasn`t such an awful donk at poker, the feminist psycho now thinks she`s some high stakes crusher and we`ll get to hear her ridicuolous banter while she`d lose double digit bbs on nl25stars..
