Starting June 1st, CardRunners will stop the production of paid video content and move a portion of our library to YouTube. The website in its current form will remain online for at least a few months. Over the coming months we will periodically release new training content on our YouTube channel.

We will be providing pro-rated refunds to members with long-term subscriptions and all ongoing monthly subscriptions will be canceled. If you have any questions about your subscription please contact support@cardrunners.com.

Within the next few weeks, we will also begin releasing free coaching videos on HoldemManager.com. We will release several of these videos each week and they will be focused on helping Hold'em Manager users better use statistics and our software to improve their results.

We would like to thank all of those who have been a part of the CardRunners community over the years.

-Taylor Caby, Andrew Wiggins, Alex Huang

Cardrunners was the first training site I joined and was a fairly early member. I went from pretty much clueless to a good winner in space of a few months.

I always had a lot of respect for the way the likes of Taylor Caby conducted themselves. I remember finding some issues with their website early on, emailed them to notify them as friendly hey did you know...Got a nice email back and a few days later received a surprise package in the mail containing a load of CR swag.

If anything they priced CR way too low in those days. The info in those days was very good and worth a hell of a lot more than the $30.

However, it was clearly coming. The website was massively dated, no real named pros make videos with them anymore and the overall market in training is nowhere near what it once was.

end of an era. ...surprised it didnt happen sooner.

Never really thought cardrunners was a great training site post 2010, however 2006-2010 it was probably the best, especially once runitonce came along in 2013, the comparable content offered was a million times better albeit a slightly higher price point.

At least Taylor Caby and his company are no longer "scamming" their customers selling out dated poker information in 2017. Props for hanging up the poker training hat, Caby, you probably should of done it sooner.

edit: scamming term is used rather lightly, but only pigeons in the last 5 years would consider a site like cardrunners or software like holdem manager when there are much better alternatives like runitonce, upswing poker and for software pokertracker 3.

They still had good videos coming out from Janda and apestyles.

They were very relevant and innovative during the poker boom and set the coaching bar at a high level.

gg CR!

I'm just shocked DC didn't make the move first. That site's an abortion now. Truly basement level stuff now.

The Janda videos were always top notch. Hope they won't be lost.

Definitely end of an era. Any idea what Taylor Caby and Andrew Wiggins are up to these days? Would be interesting if either of them did a podcast.

It's sad how they went from #1 to scumbags, Balbomb was caught VPN'ing (even on video) with no repercussion. The guy makes most of his videos on ipoker and partypoker while not leaving the US.

If accurate that's interestingly low.

When Brian Townsend, Cole South, Brian Hastings, Taylor Caby and David Benefield were making videos it was amazing.

When they left there was no longer a draw to the site.

Twitch was obviously the nail in the coffin.

I recently found a Deuces Cracked shirt they handed out at their WSOP party in Vegas in 2009. Made me think about the good old days of CR and DC.

I wonder how many subscribers CR, DC and Stoxx had back in the day and how those numbers compare to the current paid customer numbers for RIO and Upswing?

This made me feel pretty nostalgic, I think I bought my first CardRunners membership in 2008 and I looked up to the coaches soooo much. I still remember the first training video I watched: Taylor Caby sweats Ezra playing 2/4 NLHU. I watched that video and pretty much started crushing the same stakes immediately (RIP 2008 poker). I remember thinking how it would be the coolest thing ever to one day become a CardRunners coach and it was among my biggest poker goals, and when I was made one about 3 years later I was so proud. Ended up making vids from 2011 until 2014 or 2015, and I look back to it as a pretty good time in my life.

Thanks to Alex and Taylor personally for all the years, and also fffuuuu for making poker a lot tougher back in the day

When we started deucescracked, cardrunners was the gold standard and we wanted to be the limit Holdem version of them (this was before DC got bigger and had krantz and all the NL guys). Somehow only met Taylor once over all these years but always had tons of respect for the CR people.

Madlex: pretty sure nobody cares if I talk about ancient history now lol - we never quite got to 10k active subscribers and then Black Friday happened
