I just managed to persuade live chat payouts rep that my withdrawal from last Saturday which was cancelled by them cannot count towards a newly set weekly limit. So they did make a manual $250 withdrawal request to Moneybookers for me. Took me 20 minutes in live chat in order to convince them.

Wow, what a perfect way to cover up the ponzi-esque scheme those sham companies have running.

To me, this just screams that UB can't cover all the deposits on their sites.

The big Q is when the money is going to run out.

To be honest, if you've a lot of money on the site, the first thing you should be doing is finding out the financial structure of it. If it can't be confirmed 100% that the funds are held in segregated, trustee appointed accounts, you can say hello to the liquidation process or basically never seeing your total funds ever again (provided they're not over $250 obviously).

If they're held in a segregated account, well, as it's UB, those with access could well just take everything out and go on the run. They're criminals, you supported them so don't be surprised if this is what happens.

this $250 **** is almost funny

Not only don't I have sympathy for anyone in this position, I hope you all don't get paid back. The poker world should have done a mass boycott of this ugly stain on the community. Too many greedy a-holes just couldn't stay away.

Enjoy!
This greedy a-hole is still very glad they played on Cereus, tyvm.

So how does this work now - UB is continuing to allow US players to play on the site so is UB allowed to keep the rake from these games now? and if they eventually do pay US players back will they count winnings during this "brownout" period ? What if a US player hits the BBJP ? If they decide to not count winnings during this period would that mean losses durring this period would not count either?

I don't think anyone would give you a definitive answer to these. The whole situation with the US players is quite bizarre. I think the most likely reason why they can still play is that Cereus don't mind the rake.

Your losses will definitely count, lol. On the other hand, I think your wins (jackpot or whatever) will most likely count too unless Cereus simply decide to call it a day before paying everything out.

They're currently doing quite a significant money grab (allowing unlimited funds in, preventing much/none from going out), which is typically a trait of scummy companies who are about to go into liquidation. Reason is, unsecured funds such as player deposits (depending on the legal setup of UB, which I wouldn't count on in any way) are unsecured creditors. If the company is put into liquidation, everyone else gets paid first. The people UB owe money to, staff etc all get paid out of these funds. The unsecured get dropped to the bottom and thrown any change that comes out.

Then again, they could just be hoarding money to run off with, and seeing as it's UB, there's quite a chance it could be it.

My original cashout requirement was cancelled by UB. Yesterday night, just after de announce of the new payout policy, I required $250. Those $250 are in Neteller Account after 9 hrs, but I will need a while to get my all Bank back (If I can). (mexico)

Cereus lost around 80% of their traffic overnight. They will lose more, euros wont stay. They have had their money seized by the government. They are more than likely badly run. I doubt they can meet player deposits/their obligations to staff/server etc. In my view they will go out of business and you could lose your money if your unlucky (you may get back a % of it), irrespecetive if you are a euro or an american

^^^

If we compare week on week figures:

Comparing last Sat and Sun (right after Black Friday) combined peak figures to Sat/Sun the previous week - they lost 44.3% of their traffic.

Wed and Thu last week combined peak figures against this week's Wed and Thu - they lost 55.5%.

So the trend is clearly not looking good for them.

That is peak figures too. The peak volume figure will to some extent underestimate the overall loss of traffic (statistics ftw). And its possible some of those are american players/ub bots

I suspect the 250 limit is what they decided they could pay out from the profit they expect to make per day in rake. Pretty funny tbh. They say your player funds are safe and secure and yet they cant pay you?? The problem is their site is dying. Soon nobody will be playing there and they will have no income and nobody will get paid. Ironically the best thing the UB players can hope for is that UB refuses to comply with DOJ and fully takes on american players. This is the only way the euros will get paid imo.

There is no way any euro would play ub after black friday. Ub and AP = going busto. All of you are going to lose your money. They might even be waiting for deposits and then just turning them round and paying people out. LMAO

I feel sorry for you all. But at the same time I feel that it is karma. I still hope you all get paid fwiw

There's another tiny % who'd be ****ed by such a measure as it'd take a long time to get everything out but hey, you play UB you take whatever you get.

So it could be a lot worse.

Hm.. won a seat to the HPT ME freeroll which was scheduled for June 25. It appears that they've removed all of the HTP freeroll events though. Also, noticed pretty much all of the rakeback affiliates don't have monthly freerolls listed as they usually do.
