Re: Can we discuss Cereus specifically?

Online poker is going to be a product of the government real soon. Lol at Cereus being the largest site to allow US players.

ahahaha angry moron? Why because I think there's little point to continue to play on a site that you cannot withdraw from? You think UB/AP knows more than PS/FTP? I will start playing again when the situation clears out and all the basic functions such as withdrawal return to the site ... I suggest everyone with a brain does the same.

you think AP/UB can fix this and PS/FTP can't? This situation is here to stay for a long time ... AP/UB are as always just making things worst for their customers.

I have been almost exclusively been playing at AP for the past 5 years through all the scandals ... actually now it makes no sense to continue to do so.

Re: Can we discuss Cereus specifically?

so what is your plan? are you holding your roll on their site until a clear way to withdraw comes?

one way or another they're going to be able to take your money and return it. They're just looking for the next loophole or alternate method.

Re: Can we discuss Cereus specifically?

Does anyone else find this ironic? Most here have blasted AP/UB in the past as the OP pointed out.

Ironic in, I think PS's and FTP getting charged with fraud, money laundering etc is (sorry I don't even know the words for it, it's so unbelievable)

I'm not now nor have I ever defended AP/UB....but I did say, "wait, PS's and FTP are not as squeeky clean as everyone makes them out to be". Very said to say, it's come to be proven right.

This is a serious blow to online poker and it's not just Cererus's fault.

I expect WU to be up and running within days. How tough is it to find some guy in the Philippines who will process your WUs for you?

AP/UB has all the motivation in the world to fix this asap and pick up players from the sites who are going to drop out. They've been giving the finger to the govt for so long they are basically all in with that strategy at this point.

Wat? Stars and FTP don't HAVE to stop accepting US players. Essentially nothing has changed besides the justice dept. handing down an indictment for something we already knew they believed to be illegal (poker sites/players dissagree, but the DOJ made its position clear years ago). The reason they stopped taking US players now is because they have more to lose than Cereus should online gaming become regulated in the US (almost sure to happen eventually, though maybe years in the future).

So Cereus doesn't need to be magic to "fix" this. They will continue to break US gaming laws as they have for years. Cashouts/deposits will probably be more of a hassle, but I'll be shocked if they don't figure something out.

Re: Can we discuss Cereus specifically?

I think it's a terrible idea to deposit on any poker sites that cater to U.S. players right now. The big boys just fell, who's next? If there was ever a site that would leave an not give players their money it would be cereus.
