Can we discuss Cereus specifically? - Poker News

In before "if you had money on UB/AP you got what you deserved, yadda, yadda". But I think it's fair to discuss what is happening with Cereus and whether anyone has heard anything yet. As far as I know there hasn't been an official statement from the site, Joe Sebok is singing to himself on twitter like a crazy person, and there hasn't been any real discussion that I have seen.

Has anyone had any email from UB since yesterday? Are they going to take the money and run, or is there any hope of payouts?

Apparently there was a post by the brass at p5's that heard from insiders that AP/UB will go on.

I see this as logical... I feel they will end up giving DoJ the finger, wipe their asses with the indictments, and keep business as usual once they get new payment processors. FT and PS have been conforming to US Legistation previously (WA Player ban) and Cereus has not.

This would also be a great opportunity for Cereus to absorb the US Player pool and probably become the biggest online site next to party.

They won't have the funds to cover fines & withdrawals and will go bust, despite what they're claiming right now.

so im assuming everyone on UB is able to play transfer as usual?

We can play... we can transfer player to player.

Withdraws and Deposits are suspended temporarily because they need to find new payment processors.

VIP Support is telling me they are working on it... but the show will go on...

Feel bad for Stars and Full Tilt players though... they get the **** end of the deal.

Regardless of their problems past and otherwise I hope Cereus hangs tough for us Americans, the bottom line is we are running out of any viable choices.

I don't know how anyone in their right mind still continuous to play there. I tried to withdraw all my money and couldn't, I will not continue to play on a site that I cannot withdraw from. AP/UB are being the *******s they have always been whil the PS/FTP stop all play until everything is figured out, AP/UB tells people to keep giving them money without letting to take it ou tnow and no real solution in sight.

I withdrew and payment has been processed. Should hit my acct on monday unless......

BUt yeah everything is running like normal and lots of US players online......the ONLY good thing about being a Cereus reg is that they'll just say F U to the govt and continue to do business ala BOdog, SPortsbook, etc. Govt been after em for years and theyre still in business

ahahaha angry moron? Why because I think there's little point to continue to play on a site that you cannot withdraw from? You think UB/AP knows more than PS/FTP? I will start playing again when the situation clears out and all the basic functions such as withdrawal return to the site ... I suggest everyone with a brain does the same.

you think AP/UB can fix this and PS/FTP can't? This situation is here to stay for a long time ... AP/UB are as always just making things worst for their customers.

I have been almost exclusively been playing at AP for the past 5 years through all the scandals ... actually now it makes no sense to continue to do so.

Does anyone else find this ironic? Most here have blasted AP/UB in the past as the OP pointed out.

Ironic in, I think PS's and FTP getting charged with fraud, money laundering etc is (sorry I don't even know the words for it, it's so unbelievable)

I'm not now nor have I ever defended AP/UB....but I did say, "wait, PS's and FTP are not as squeeky clean as everyone makes them out to be". Very said to say, it's come to be proven right.

This is a serious blow to online poker and it's not just Cererus's fault.
