Re: From Busto to Robusto with Captain Zeebo

Yves Saint should definitely be considered for the next episode. Him or KKF.

Re: From Busto to Robusto with Captain Zeebo

Very well done and I would definitely watch more episodes. It was really nice to include the part about how online poker players naturally isolate themselves and how the online community builds upon that isolation. I'm glad this wasn't an online poker circle jerk with a bunch of dudes sitting in front of duel-30s trying to act like ballers. It was a character study more than a documentary on online poker and Zeebo made a great subject.

Good story and Good Luck in future esp with the Bipolar. My brother is affected by it and it was scary when he had his breakdown

Re: From Busto to Robusto with Captain Zeebo

A few things to note:

1. Zeebo is a really nice and great guy. Good for poker.
2. The quality of this was amazing. Great job Krantz, Dean, DC, and anyone else who was involved.
3. I liked the concept. I really thought you'd touch on a downswing though or more than just his life. I thought it was going to be based on how he was busto at big stakes, how it effected him and how he regained to the top (busto to robusto kind of implies this). Regardless, well done guys. Look forward to more.

Re: From Busto to Robusto with Captain Zeebo

I had a non-poker playing friend watch it and her question during it was just like mine "where is this going?". She also asked "are these two married" and "is this filmed in his parent's basement". Those seem like distracting elephants in the room if you don't address them.

At the end she said "That was weird. I'm going home".

Very interesting and well done, I enjoyed it. Krantz, I'm kinda into filmmaking if you don't mind could you estimate how much it cost to make this and how long it took?
PM me if you don't want it public etc

Not that hard. I just go where the easy money (for me) is. While moving down in stakes I probably could have stayed playing higher for longer. But the higher the winrate you have, the less losing days you'll have. I was never really good at handling prolonged losing streaks, as I wouldn't have confidence in my game and start playing worse and worse; therefore I would always try to play in games where my winrate was very high in order to minimize my losing days. Nowadays, if I can make 30-40k/yr stress free playing two hours a day at low stakes, I'll do that. I don't really have aspirations of beating the best anymore.

I agree w/ this. I really liked the episode and would love to see more but I would never show this to my close friends/parents who are all outside of the poker world. The first thing they would think afterwards would be "Huge swings - Depression - Bipolar - Mental institution"
Agreed.

Aside from that though it's obviously a great documentary.
