Well people we have seen groupies in other sports like NBA,NFL,NHL,CFL ... many dont realize there are groupies in poker for instance i was plaing 1/3 at southpoint and a young lady with shinny hair approached me now lets discuss the culture of pokerplayer groupies and the scene in vegas for those of us whom have made the game what it is and ressurected it ,not the leer jet set that ruined it.

i talked about this topic at the griffin with a old smallstakes baller who was a booster/poker player for 34 years he looked at me took a shooter of ballentines and said back before these guys with hoodies it was not uncommon to see 4 broads leering at a guy ,thats why i undone my shirt and along with a gold chain it sent out a message to these groupies that bigdaddy was giving out pleasures .After he left i thought thats fitting we are a better coupe then some point guard i pulled out my BR and ordered a double.

I tired of scouting spots with good flute acoustics and headed for a few hours of mornight poker at Ph. I said which table can I get in for $200 and they put me in a seat next to an intelligent Chicago blonde. The others at the table were giving her a wide berth.

I lost $200 dollars (not to her, but to an ill-timed river 5 that gave my opponent a better two-pair). As the mornight faded, new thoughts of a serial novel arrived on Soylent-enhanced march home through urban desert, dawn.

SO I ask you mrwong, are we not the groupies?

shulenburger your a good guy ,we need more stand-up guys in the eco-system ,i feel the life evolve and rotate ,broads,poker,danger,conflict ,booze ,reflection,sorrow,greed ,maybe the groupies are a mirage,hhmm,well i raise my drink ..heres............... to never meeting anyone you would rather be.

There are a few different tournament players that play higher rollers and some high stakes live cash guys that attract a good amount of other female players who are sometimes pretty well known on a groupie level. I didn't really realize it until this summer when I saw it first hand a couple times

Oh right, I saw Dan Colman introduced t his first groupie after winning the 2014 One Drop. The broad was like, "oh, you won $500k" and someone, Sorel I think, said "no, he won $15 million." She didn't bat an eye. Colman blinked... but then he blinks a lot.
