Pokergo is pretty buggy and annoying to use. That said I'm not sure there's much we can do to change that besides writing them e mails with specific critiques.

Just vote with your wallet. It's your only real option.

You could complain to Cary (owner) or Negreanu, Esfandiari, Hellmuth (investors), but I can't imagine that would do much good.

Maybe talk to someone like Ty Stewart at WSOP and implore them not to renew when the contract is up, but again, I doubt they would care.

PokerGo always has sponsors you could boycott. It seems unlikely that you could rally the poker community to make sponsors pull out, and even if you did, that sort of pressure wouldn't necessarily compel PokerGo to just give up WSOP broadcasting rights.

If you really have an axe to grind, you could snitch to the FTC that the aforementioned investors have been heavily promoting this company without disclosing that they're in any way associated with it. That would be pretty underhanded though, and still unlikely to change much.

Or just wait for this company to implode and hope the WSOP does a better job next time in handling its broadcasting rights.

I’ve had a subscription to PokerGO since day 1. There’s a few things that could be changed sure, but overall I think it’s been great. Having PAD back, and being able to watch all the old WSOPs is amazing

I have a subscription and rarely use it and I quite like it when I do watch.

It's like $10 a month, sort your life out.

I assume OP isn't complaining just about cost, but the fact that WSOP coverage has been gutted. Almost every event was streamed in previous years, and now most events you'll just have to read about because PokerGo bought the rights but won't cover them. It's a bit like that South Park episode where Cartman bought a popular theme park and wouldn't let anyone in.

They even failed to cover some major events like the $50k PPC last year.

I would assume that in their second year a lot of the mistakes, such as not covering many mixed game events will be fixed. It feels like they have a good pulse of what the poker community wants so I’m excited to see what changes they make this year based on last years criticsim

Community feedback isn't going to make money appear out of thin air. The reason their coverage is so lacking is because they simply can't afford to do it properly. Their philosophy is style over substance, which means grandiose sets, lots of crew on payroll, and a meager schedule of event coverage.

Unless PokerGo scales back on production, or Katz is content to run this at an even greater loss, it's going to be the same story this year. In light of recent events, neither seems likely.

The reason this worked previously is because you just had Tuchman in a booth busting his ass all summer and 3 webcams on a stick. It wasn't fancy, but it was relatively cheap and got the job done.

Where do you draw the line on these subscription services tho? If I just jumped at every subscription service that I'm into I'd have an unmanageable amount to deal with every month like 30 subs lol. That's why these lil $10 a month subs services are **** shows, they would be better off on some platform like netflix, hulu, Amazon prime, ect. I'd love for Pokergo to be a success to bring in new players even tho I think it won't be used by most people but the hardcore crowd, screw dealing with a ton of extra bills every month just for the sake of not having to manage it every month. That's just more to deal with in life.

Life simplicity>dealing with that nonsense.

I've only been able to find the main event from the past few years, is that it? What about all the old side events?

The site is very hard to navigate

I agree the site and apps are brutal to navigate. I think they’ve only got the old main events up so far

Do you have any idea how expensive and logistically difficult it would be to film multiple weeks of poker tournaments? Back in the glory days they filmed tons of events but if they stopped it likely means it wasn't financially viable. You can't expect PokerGo to come in and take poker TV back to 2007 standard in their first year of production.

The scheduling of events by WSOP will play a big part in what PokerGo film and broadcast, but if WSOP made their decisions based on this, players would complain that they're catering to, and prioritising a third-party for-profit venture instead of them.

I'd be quite certain that PokerGo's long term road map would be to film and stream more bracelet events, but this would require significant investment and resources, so if you want to see something like this in the future, the solution is to *support* the product, not boycott it.

The self righteousness and clueless nature of NVG never ceases to amaze me. This comment isn't directed to SrslySirius but a majority of the forum in general.

The way I understand the other posters, nobody asks for 2007 standard, whatever that is, they just enjoyed the free 2016(and before) broadcasts and wonder why it is not as good as it was then, now that it costs money. Most of them including myself would gladly pay 10$/month but then they would like to know if their favorite events are broadcasted at all.

Gazzy that is a ridiculous post.srly is correct. I am upset BECAUSE we have to pay 10$ fo 3rd sate DOG**** WSOP coverage when we used to get literally 20-25+ events FOR FREE and also half of them were actually mixed games.

So the is my first point, we have pay when they don't even cover most of the events when it used to be FREE and had multiple events covered. even 2 at a time with one w/o coverage which was fine.

2nd thing, yeah I do think it is ****ty that I have to pay 10$month for something that was free FOR YEARS(since 08 I believe) and really not worth it. I guess my other qualms are tied in to the paragraph above.

Can someone please tell me if a PokerGo subscription is tied to a single device?

I want to give it a try, but I would expect to use it on one of two laptops or a tablet - only one at a time. Is this allowed?
View: anything we can do to boycott pokergo? Quote

Yes the only limitation is you can only have one device logged on at a time can log in from whatever machine/laptop/phone you like

I'm more pissed they decided to start posting all their content on youtube now that the subscribers have paid to have produced & or purchased the rights to.... Interesting business model I'm guessing business has slowed due to dry content and other "free" streams

I love their continuous highlighting of Full Tilt and the crooks who stole millions from the poker community. It's almost as if they want to rub it in the public's collective face by showing Coward and Judas and every other crook involved.
