I don't know how lame his excuses are, but it seems like he needs some. If he's A) making significant amounts of money and B) paying people he scammed very little back.

But I don't expect a scammer/zebra/conman to change his stripes anyways.

The people who have been staking me were owed money. I did not get to keep almost any of the money I won. I was staked for one time deals at first, keeping 20% of the profits. It then went to getting 40-50% with makeup, and once they recouped they were out. I have paid back over 10k but it was to people who staked me, as that was the deal. Now that they are not owed any money, I am not staked by them anymore. If you see recently I have not been playing nearly as much. I am still staked, but it is for way less in buyins and this just started recently after a week or two off of having no backers. Also that graph is not true, as sharkscope doesn't track re-entries on WPN. Yes I am up quite a bit of money overall, but I have gotten very little of it. I lost some money playing live cash, and some trying to play on my own, but this money was far from significant. I hope people understand this process. If I get to a $500 bankroll and send it to people owed, the rebuilding process is going to take a very long time. I've bounced around multiple backers also, and not because of anything I've done. People are going to stake me to get their money and then move on and I understand that. I've had months where I had nobody staking me, and the only way I could play was on my own.

I am in about 4500$ makeup right now for one person. My deal is that I can play a few hundred bucks in buyins on sundays, and a few hundred bucks in buyins during the week. If I have any scores from this point forward, I am backed by someone I do not owe money. I will be able to pay the vast majority of that money to everyone owed.

The group of people owed have also been paid, but much much less. I have finally earned enough trust to be staked by someone I do not owe money. This is a massive progression from where I was. I am still working on getting myself walking. I have medicare so only 80% of my bills are covered, so I have to pay for my therapy etc.

Now that you guys know my screen name and my situation, you'll be able to see the next time I win something. Hopefully that does happen, and if it does everyone will be paid the vast majority of what I win after I cover my makeup and the person who's staking me's 50%. I get 50% of a makeup deal to be clear.

I understand it's not the most fair thing in the world, but I am just trying to get people paid back in whatever order, and continue to play. I love poker and I always have, and I think I am a winner in the games I play. Say what you want about me playing poker, but it's clear that's the most immediate way for people to get paid. That's very obvious. I have no college education, I actually don't even have a High School diploma. I also cannot even walk. Any job I'd be able to get when I can walk would take many years to pay enough to pay people back.

The thing is I obviously am not trusted by almost anyone, and for good reason. I screwed a lot of people out of a lot of money. Anyone willing to stake me especially before I started winning and paying people off and not scamming them, wanted to be paid back 100% of what they were owed before I or anyone else got a dime. Is that the most fair thing, no, but it's the reality of the situation, and I wasn't going to turn it down.

Now that those people are paid back and I have someone willing to stake me (albeit for small stakes) without being owed, I can hopefully continue winning and start paying people back. I do owe a lot of money though to a lot of different people. When people receive $20 payments, that means I've sent out about $400-$500 total. So if you've received a few small payments, that means I've sent out a couple thousand dollars overall.

I am going to continue to play and try to make money to pay people back. While the overall group hasn't been paid in a while, there has been a ton of progression. I consider where I am now vs where I was 3-4 years ago to be a massive massive improvement. I know people don't care and just want their money, but it's a process. Everyone will get paid back. I know my word doesn't mean anything to many people, but I have promised myself that everyone will get paid.

Is there any evidence that this kid's falling-from-the-parking-lot story is true? I see one random news article with few details, and then posts claiming to be from his brother and from one other guy claiming to know about the situation, but I don't see any evidence that any of this actually occurred.

People have gone to far greater lengths to avoid gambling debts that making up a story like and posting it online...if it's true then it sucks for him and he has my sympathy, but...is it true?

At one point he said that everything he said was a lie. I don't see why that's changed.

So you've used your profits to pay some people back, what's the new number of the amount owed? If you've verifiably knocked off a few K's, that's one thing, even if it is just your buddies that you've paid first.

Sharkscope 100% tracks reentries, it doesn't track satellites. So yes, it's potentially off, but if could very easily be off in your favor. The fact is, it's close enough, and you've won a pretty huge chunck of that money in 2017. How much has been paid out to cover the over $60,000 you stole? By the way, I have some more screen names and information about your poker playing over the last few years, so let's try to be truthful.

I'm not knocking you for playing poker at all, it's your only option, but most of the people owed have barely been paid.

I think the majority of people wish they didn't know him or know his life. It's an unfortunate situation. But this statement is incredibly insulting.

You clearly have compassion and some sort of money. Let your compassion buy their debt, I'm sure they'll give you a deal and your heart will be full.

I don't think I'd advise a friend to still pay back this debt when the only upside would be his standing in this community. A community he'd better not be part of. I'd advise him to leave that part of his life behind him.

A reputation is a hell of a thing and will follow you especially with the internet. He may as well just legally change his name if he doesn't pay lol.

I think you forgot the upside of doing the right thing, not being an outright thief, etc. I think one's standing with oneself and with the human race means a lot more than one's standing in a particular community.
