Well, yeah. But what does that say about the men who compete in the ladies event? ...and then don't cash.

Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community
BB's problem is that making a career playing poker has been a life goal of his since he was very young. Then he had early success which only reinforced his choices.
Now that reality's hit and he's on the back side of his 30's he simply can't accept that this isn't a valid plan any longer.
I feel bad about his victimization in the UB scandal. Heads need to roll there.
I don't, however, feel bad at all about his current situation. He's a thief and a con artist who has nobody to blame but himself. His video seems like a way to deflect away his debtors, at least temporarily.
I don't see any path to this ending well.

Isn't it a little late for that to happen? (not legally, but isn't that over with)

How much did BB win in the aria 5/10 game the other night? How much for his backers?

If he took a job at Mcdonalds at the beginning of the World Series you would've gotten at least $300 by now.

Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community
I played with Brad 3 or 4 times at the Aria over the past week. He has mostly been playing 5/10 and sometimes 10/20 and one time 25/50 where I was told he lost. Also he had losing sessions most of the other times I played with him. I'm curious to know who keeps backing him for these games and what their deal is. Doesn't seem like he's beating the games for much if at all.
The 5/10 game has a $3k cap, but he goes north a ton. When I sat with him, each time he'd end up with $10k+ in front of him even though he was losing. Kind of scummy if you ask me, but apparently consistent with his character.
But one thing I'll say is that he doesn't put on any front regarding his situation. He openly states at the table if it comes up in convo from some naive unknowing player, that he is broke and owes money. Well I guess all you and his backers can hope for is that he runs good in the cash games.

Thanks for sharing, but was curious how buying in for more than the cap is scummy?

Because if he were a winning player, it'd be a huge advantage to be able to cover a fish who'd run a stack up by actually playing.
You'd essentially be stealing from the players whose money the fish would've built his stack with.
As it happens, he probably is the mark at the table anyway so I'm sure no one would complain, kind of like when everyone knew that Guy and Eli had 35 accounts on FTP.

POKER NEWS, June 8th:
"According to Booth he has received $100,000 worth of backing at this year’s WSOP and he has entrusted those bankrolling him with holding onto any winnings – of which he’ll receive 50% - for him until the end of the Series to ensure they are safe."

I usually don't talk trash about sht that doesn't involve me or about people I don't know, but this dude seems like a real jakass to me. Super manipulative, bullyish, and generally untrustworthy.
The video with the apology has been taken down from YouTube. Whom does he allege swindled him out of $2 million?
