Update:
Brad has been in contact with me and made a $200 payment towards the debt.
So debt is now $27,600

Don't think this is at all appropriate. You've successfully outed him and dragged his name through the mud. Posting minuscule payments he makes on here is kinda pushing it too far IMO. Keep it private. If and when he settles it post it, but saying Brad paid me a few hundred bucks is a bit of a piss take Sir. he might not have handled himself well during this, but you still have the chance to. As long as he is making payments however small, I think you really have no need to post that kind of information.

Lol @ this... WCG is posting facts, Brad is making himself look like a fool not WCG. And understatement of the year? He "might" not have handled himself well during this? Are we even disputing the severity of his actions? Good standards you have. And it's not like Brad is living in a low rent 1 bed room apartment working at Mcdonalds trying to alleviate his debts, the guy played multiple events in the WSOP ffs. Yeah but you're a saint though, I'm sure you'd be fine and cool with someone borrowing 30 k and making a $200 payment after months and only after outing him on a public forum.

Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community
Why does he owe him $28,000? Shouldn't it be like $25,200 or so because the selling rate for lock poker money is 90% because cashouts take so long?
Basically this guy is getting $28,000 back without paying a vig had this deal went as planned. Anyone find this wrong here?
But did he think Brad knew about the cashout delays with lock poker? Because if he thinks brad didnt know about this, then it would be pretty scum of him to not tell him. I mean, i certainly won't say sure and then knowing the fact that it would take forever to get $28000 out by checks with lockpoker. What if Brad Booth had done the deal and then later on a few days found out that cashing out was going to be the biggest pain ever just like cake poker withdrawals. So what happens then? Too bad? I mean, sure if Brad didnt know about the cashout delays with lock, its his fault but don't you guys think this is pretty unethical trading $28000 in lock poker for $28000 cash knowing full well that it would take a long time just to get this money from lock?
Feels like this guy thought hey i found a sucker to take my lock money and now I don't have to pay the vig to get these funds immediately and then just pass this on to Brad Booth and let him handle the problems and pay the vig.

Him paying is acknowledgement of the debt. Take him to court and make him pay interest on it so he'll sell his blingy watch and everything else he should.

Where did he get the money to fly to Calgary and buy in to the tourney there? It's an insult to give only $200 while jetsetting around IMO. I understand perfectly why WCGrider made the post.

He probably still has a few friends, in higher places, that are helping him out. That's all I can think of.

He's getting staked.
Getting staked to play is not the same thing as 'having money'.
He's a +ev player in many different games, there are people willing to put him in since he's a pretty good gamble.
As far as the guy making a $200 payment, it completely sucks he burned you like that but the reality of his situation is that he's no longer operating with 'poker money' where a bunch of dudes throw around five figures like it's nickles and dimes. Booth is not the first one to find himself in the very unenviable position of having to pay off easy-come poker money debt with goddamn-hard-to-come-by real world money.
WCGrinder has every right to be livid pissed, but he should probably just sit tight. Eventually, Booth will get back in the chips and clear this **** up. In the meantime, the children LOL'ing at him making a small good faith payment are just that. Children. Spend some time in the big-boy poker world, you'll see guys who completely burn down owing hundreds of thousands and take jobs in call centers to make $100 payments. It happens, it sucks if you're the creditor but that's the tail risk to lending in the 'poker economy'. As much as clueless ****wads love to create this narrative about how freely money flows in the poker world and everyone's obligated to pass it out like candy at Halloween, the reality of the situation is different. There are plenty of 'name players' who don't lend but for the closest circumstances. The consequence of that method is that they don't have the same options to free-flow borrow, but they also don't assume the risk of someone "moving on from poker" before they can pay them back.

This is like someone weighing 35 stone telling you they've lost 2 pounds.
Well done though.
