Why not play the ladies event? Are women so inferior that they need their own event because they can't compete with the men?

Brad's life will be a never-ending cycle of this unless he can't get enough money to gamble with anymore. I don't like how he thinks he can actually go back to the pits some day. It just shows the fragile mindset he's in right now.

Once you fall this low you need to permanently stay away from the things that made you fall in the first place.

$500,000 is almost an impossible amount of money to accumulate through any regular job in a reasonable amount of time. Chances are no one he owes money to will ever see a fraction of what they gave to him.

It's just a really raw lesson to the rest of us. Sometimes your biggest purpose becomes serving as a warning to others.

I hope Brad gets into GA and stays clean for the rest of his life. He can't have anything to do with poker or casinos and expect to live a quality life.
I find it interesting you still believe he is wanting to pay back his debts. Brad just used the last bit of this kids money to bust a few events. The 100k back is just a way to hide the fact he's using the stolen money to fund his trip.

Also your advice on falling to this point, he needs to quit gambling. If you honestly believe this, it should apply to any level you are on in any situation. Not just being busto.

Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community

I said it before the wsop and I'll say it again. It was stupid for him to play in any wsop tournament. And what do you know. What, like one min cash for 2.5k?

Poker is a game of the minds, right? It's so obvious from the video BB is not in the right mindset to play the game at it's highest level. I mean, watch the video. How would anyone dealing with the things he is dealing with be able to play poker well for hours and days on end. He looked like he was in a very dark place with some serious demons affecting him and I'm almost certain it affected the way he played in the wsop.

He needs rehab and to never step foot in a casino again. It's not too late for him to change his life around and makes things right. I honestly feel like a total career change and change of lifestyle will go a long way with BB.

Brad made the first step with this thread. Admitting he had a problem. Now he needs to continue on those steps to redemption and recovery. Not towards more losing, more gambling, more false promises.

Anyone knows how much total tournament $ he played during WSOP ?

Maybe around 28 000$... not 100 000$ ?

Apples and oranges, imo.

Stealing $30k is a good bit worse than sitting in a ladies poker tournament, imo.

Who knows, maybe the guy lost a prop bet.

In old Vegas somebody would have bought his debt for pennies on the dollar and broken his thumbs by now.

Same thing, getting in the prop bet isn't on, you know someone is playing possibly. No sympathy here either.

Not a prop bet. He plays the ladies event every year. You wouldn't know because he never cashes.

Last year I saw him making out with his girlfriend during a national anthem/bracelet ceremony while wearing a dress.
