Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community
I like that this thread probably ruined any potential staking that BB was going to Vegas trying to receive. Obviously the 100k stake was another lie. How many events has he played in? Do you think he will play in ME?

yeah by the amount of events he has played it seems like the safe bet is he was lying. unless the 100k steak was mostly for cash games.
The last even he played was two weeks ago.
I think he used his last 10k on wsop events, failed and is now complete busto

There is nothing positive coming from Brad Booth trying to play his way out of debt, or men playing in a ladies event.
Both are on similar levels of bad decision making, and no good outcomes..

No wonder he owes so much money if he's eating $100k steaks.

Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community
WCGRider is a tool for playing the ladies event but he's still owed his money - these are two totally separate things.
Brad's life will be a never-ending cycle of this unless he can't get enough money to gamble with anymore. I don't like how he thinks he can actually go back to the pits some day. It just shows the fragile mindset he's in right now.
Once you fall this low you need to permanently stay away from the things that made you fall in the first place.
$500,000 is almost an impossible amount of money to accumulate through any regular job in a reasonable amount of time. Chances are no one he owes money to will ever see a fraction of what they gave to him.
It's just a really raw lesson to the rest of us. Sometimes your biggest purpose becomes serving as a warning to others.
I hope Brad gets into GA and stays clean for the rest of his life. He can't have anything to do with poker or casinos and expect to live a quality life.

With your recent behavior/actions it would be wise for you to keep open communications with the poker community as you try to repair your name/reputation.

Shipping the Main would be one of the worst things that could happen to Brad although one of the best things to the people who are out a lot of money.

I'm sure the police would love to help gamblers sort out their internal corruption just as soon as they're done helping their local crack dealers and hookers get their ledgers in order.
Re: "Hope this doesn't get out because it's a black eye for poker"
This is a level, I hope. Does anyone on this board think that poker has any kind of reputation left? Get away from the game for a while (which I did) and you realize that the mainstream is somewhere between ambivalent... and highly suspicious of the gambling world. Poker had its best chance to gain credibility over the last decade with celebs getting involved... and mainstream sports channels pumping the game. But, a quick scan of the NVG section of this forum over the last year or so reminds us all that poker is a corrupt game and honestly... it's probably best kept out of the limelight. Like others have said here... how many more promising college students do we want to see jump out of school to pursue a "career" in this shady-ass "industry?"
It's a joke. I grew up playing cards. Always loved the game.(s) But, I remember when the online boom was hitting and I thought... "you know, this just all feels shady... like it could be rigged... like it could be wrought with fruad." But, as time went on, I was duped into believing in the legitimacy of the industry like so many here. Well, like so often in life... it turns out our first instincts are usually right.
Don't get me wrong. I love poker. I love the game in a pure sense. But, poker as a legitimate entity in the public eye is dead. In all reality, that may not even be such a bad thing.

i agree with pretty much everything you've said here, good post. poker is awesome, but the world of gambling is full of ****ty people.
