Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community

So sad. I really felt sry for Brad when he came out with his story about what has happened to him with UB. Great interview on donkdown few years back and there was also a huge thread here about him. I guess he wasnt very honest about his real problem wich is no control of his gambling. What should be done here imo is that Brad like many said here needs to get away from gambling period. Ofcourse that means he will never be able to pay everyone back but getting job he could maybe pay back few % of his debts. This is a mess and will probably not end well if he goes on gambling. To give Brad some probs he did come out admitted is wrongdoings and that has to be little bid admirable and needs big heart to do.

He feels like he's owed money after being scammed, he's never going to stop gambling until he wins back what he perceives he's owed.

Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community

I have no sympathy for him but at least he had the guts to talk about the issue. So many other scumbags(rheem, lindgren, etc) just ignore it and run and hide. Had to be a hard video to make. Odds are against him to both stop drinking and stay out of the pits, but I hope for WCG he is able to and pay back the money.

Credit for coming out and doing this apology. I can tell this was genuinely hard for him. Good luck getting it together.

Re: Brad Booth's Apology to WCGrider, Others, and Poker Community

So i hate to be a cynic...and even posting in a thread like this cuz I'm nowhere near rolled to loan someone 28k...

but i take this all with a grain of salt and do not sympathize or feel for the guy the way many of you have so far in this thread...the cynic in me says this guy is doing this as a preventative measure, since he is obv planning on playing in the WSOP and does not want to have to deal with this there..****ch better to make an I'm sorry vid as opposed to having NVG tards yelling at him from the rail and as he's walking around; OR having WCG or his buds come up to him and haggle him about the situation...smart move imo

the other part i don't like is his proposal...he gets his 50 percent and then pays back with 75 percent of this...shouldnt this be standard? Ive never been backed so am unfamiliar with all the dynamics...but don't you pay your markup once your in the black...like you owe 200 in MU, win say bout tree fiddy...now don't you have 150 in you pocket? or do ppl you owe allow you to only pay a percent of the MU? I thought this was the issue when chino rheem won the EPL event, people were waiting for him at the cage to get what was owed...

so just my .02 but that my view on it...brad decided to pit gamble and drink, don't gimme that addiction stuff...dude admitted he's done it before, he seems smart enough to know that its not the brightest idea...and don't flame me for criticizing the addiction stuff, I went through a bit of an addiction (as I'm sure many have) when i first moved to vegas so I know what thats like and needed to mentally make the decision to do what was best for me...not play crazy 4 poker!lol

with all that said, GL brad in paying WCG back...

I haven't seen a Booth in this rough a shape since Lincoln was laying dead in that theater and John Wilkes was standing there with a smoking gun.

That was tough to watch but at least he isn't hiding from his problems. Hopefully everything gets sorted out and Brad gets his life together.

Brad

You have the ability to put this right if you focus on your poker game. This means staying away from drink first and foremost, then it will be easier to avoid bad decisions like going to the pit. You've built a bankroll in the past and you can do it again - your game is still in you but you gotta focus on it to make it happen.

there is a rather significant difference between makeup and debts from bad swaps, but i agree he is making it sound like he is doing doug a favor.
