Sigh.
My point is not that I think I deserve a refund/freerole. I probably WAS knocked out on Day 1B without ever having the fake chips make a difference to my game. I don't know for sure who might have had their game influenced by those chips and/or if I ever came up against them.
But many people certainly did have their game influenced.
One thing is for sure, as the number of players was reduced, the probability of influence goes up.
We don't know and will probably never know who/when/how.
So you are asking "someone" to reward people who probably had their game influenced in a positive way and punish people who probably had their game influenced in a negative way because that is what's "fair".
Because the game was stopped at 27 remaining, you want to use that spot as the point to "adjust" things.
Not when the chips were introduced. Not when they began to have some real effect. Not when someones game was irretrievably altered. But when the game was stopped/cancelled because that's what's "fair".
The pain of the final 27 is hard to imagine. Anyone who plays these things dreams of going deep. And it is painfully unfair to snatch that away from them.
But fairness also applies to those not given the chance because of those fake chips whether because of bloated stacks, altered or uneven play or even that blind all-in move near the final break.
It's not about my buy-in. It is not about your potential payout.
The game was tainted.
End of story.
