ok its probably fine just find it weird they would raid them when they pledged 1M in relief efforts... seems like a sign of escalation on later better streets to put it in gambol terms.... anyways fine if no one else is freaking out I will chill...

“Eleven people were killed, but not me - luckily I was dancing with a fat woman at the time and she took all the shrapnel,” Singson reminisced.

fat chicks FTW?

LOL wtf?

I would guess this is pure politics. Scare tactics.

Also, as someone else has already mentioned, if Bovada is about to go down, it's already too late to cash out. All those checks will bounce and their accounts will be frozen.

I pm'd blotkis, he says he is not concerned fwiw

Can the mods add the Calvin Ayre statement to the OP, this whole thread is unnecessarily alarming.

Also suggest titlse change - Local Philippines Police raid Bodog customer support office 20 Nov.

Didn't something similar happen to PokerStars at some point after BF, or am I just imagining that?

They just interrogated some employers and left.

Agree, this is pretty much the CLIFFS version of the story.

Also, I have a buddy who lives in Manila, and he says the police can all be paid off, for any type of crime or accusation. More than likely Bodog just forks over some money to continue operations and this will be put to bed and everyone can stop ****ting their pants.

all winning regs should withdraw imo

Not only that, Bovada is the US facing business that was sold by Calvin back in late 2006 and the brand licensing was allowed to expire back in mid 2011. Bovada is run by its owners run from Kahnawake.

Well I play on Bodog Asia, and I know many people that do. Many of the winning players were on Bodog Asia.
Hope this isnt some ploy to get rid of all winning players off Bodog.
Im always skeptical but this wouldnt the first time.....

This is definitely true but the higher it goes up the more money it is. Also if a powerful person in the US wants to see Bodog gone, Im pretty sure no bribe money will suffice.

So I woke up this morning, saw this thread, and went into full panic....had a pending withdrawal----a money transfer. But I went to the store and picked up the transfer no problem

Also, tried calling bodog customer service today. Got a recording saying their phone support was unavailable due to a major workforce decline. Said they'd expect to be back up within 24 hours

im assuming u say this because u believe fish dont go to forums right?
as for any people that are on this forum its only going to be fish leaving and good regs staying. fish panic, good regs analyze.

WTF people, read the entire thread. Yes, some BS happened at the Bodog Headquarters today, but no one knows what. They are questioning some people per that report, that's it. It may have ties to some other guy who used to work for Bodog or whatever....

The OP and some subsequent responses from 2 other very suspect accounts look completely fake.

Hey, can anyone pls confirm. I heard from a source that Set of Bovada's offices in the Philippines and United States have been raided today. Got investments in that company.
Quote:
I heard that Calvin the founder, has been organizing numerous “dummy” corporations in the Philippines as part of his on-going efforts to fully relocate the base of his world-wide illegal gambling and money laundering operations in the Philippines.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo way. Gotta move out my money from the company. But if they are already close, how will I be able to that.

Very familiar situation that happened to Full Tilt, with no money being paid out...I think they are going bankrupt

dragongfang1- I just did pull out from them. better to be safe. And to help other gamers. Lets spread the word. This is really alarming.

Clearly this is all the same person. SNs very similar. Same post counts. Mentioning investing in the company?....This is some kind of personal assault on Bodog, that's it. No one should fear anything at this point.

This can't be real. Who would be dumb enough to invest money in a blatantly illegal gambling operation?

There has been an internal struggle at Bodog Asia... several articles on Calvin Ayre.com cover this.

http://calvinayre.com/2013/11/07/bus...cy-to-defraud/

http://calvinayre.com/2013/10/14/bus...ave-in-manila/

AFAIK, some of the shady ecom people they hired, along with some locally sourced 'PAs' who were likely former prostitutes, started stealing some monies. Real shocker there. They were all fired and had charges placed against.

Then this group probably got in with the local police, a couple handshake deals, and then here we are.

i watched a movie about this

Spoiler:
justin timberlake wins

Just made a $500 cashout a few days ago that was processed in <2 days.

Don't see why I should be worried.

Yeah I mean I'm sure that the higher up this goes, the less money can fix the problem.

You can hit/kill a pedestrian though (you're at fault) and not spend a night in jail though. Depends on how deep your pockets are and if you're in good with the locals.

I wish P2P trading on Bovada was a possibility.. never underestimate those who are freaking out who would start selling on the cheap. I know I'd be buying.
