Bill Perkins Appreciation Thread

To be honest, I wanted to make this thread to commend the recreational poker players that keep a steady inflow of cash into the games. Recently, I watched the Big Game in which Perkins was featured; needless to say he was horrendous throughout every episode, but guys like Bill Perkins are a must in poker. Without them, there would be a lot less baller poker player condos, etc. and the game would not be nearly as popular without them. Clearly, what I'm pointing out is the "obvious" and I'll probably receive some "Cool story, bro"s, but what I was wondering was who do you all believe to be some of the biggest donaters to the game of poker? Obviously the specifics of what they've lost would be hard to come by, but it would be interesting to know exact numbers that some of the biggest losers have lost.

A few I know of: Bill Perkins, Guy Laliberte and any random Asian business man playing in Macau.

Bill Perkins is an annoying dumbass. When I watch him on TV I get douche chills. Even the announcer was ragging on him for whistling during the show.

Yeah I'm definitely not commending his antics or his play, but rather his deep pockets and his willingness to dump money into the game of poker.

It is a trickle up game. Biggest donators are the endless army of low stakes recreational players.

Dude wins at life, who cares if he blows a couple of G's on TV. It's good entertainment for us.

How can you not love it when he goes off on Hellmuth for being a giant baby on season one of The Big Game?

It'd be more subtle if he just wore a "look at me!" t-shirt.

Most people can manage to get stoned and make an ass of themselves without it costing $300,000.

Where does the "nice" part come in?
