Re: bicyclekick paid $1,000/hour to play hu lhe

It was like 6 in the morning. If it was 9pm or even midnight, fine, but 6am is a hard time to get ahold of people.

I also wasn't even sure he was going to play an hour cause he told me no contract he's just waiting for feesh to walk in the door which I figured there was a reasonable chance was in less than an hour based on what he was saying. He wouldn't pay me for partial hour, either. And I had never played him HU before so I didn't know what to expect, either.

Aaron Katz briefly owned a cardroom in the Seattle, WA area - probably somewhere in 2005. Around the time of its opening, a buddy of mine and I played 6 handed 10/20 limit with him and a few random ppl. He was splashing around, paying off, and getting in with a lot of sick value bets. One hand in particular I open QJo in the CO he 3 bets out of the small blind. A J 9 call turn 4 call river 4 call, he tables J9o, I show my QJ and muck, and he says "That's how you value bet." Sometime later he was talking to an asian girl on the phone, advising her for an upcoming trip to the commerce. "You'll do fine sweety, just remember to value bet."

hardly a thin value bet. not betting that river would be terrible.

1) I knew that
2) I must have heard him call her an asian name like "Kaomi" . I'm not the type to assume someone is asian just because they're a girl planning a poker trip to California.

You "knew that," but yet you used an easy value bet as an example of why he is a good value bettor?

P.S. Just kidding about the Asian thing, it just read funny.
