Best all around player in the World across all the games? - Page 3 - Poker News

Zero chance, thuritz been at the biggest games in the live scene for the better half a decade. He was pretty much the second "online" player from Europe to hit the big live games, Patrik Antonius being first.

If there was a huge 8-game online that would go on for weeks with the same players, id like thuritz to be my horse online and ivey live, but thurtiz a close second in a live setting aswell.

Idk about zero chance, wasnt he clueless as to who vanessa selbst was a few years back.

He knows Thuritz just as another guy, nothing special. People have been lying in this thread how Ivey is saying that Thuritz is the toughest opponent he's ever played against, which is laughable.

How is what I said irrelevant to him knowing him or not, if he hadnt heard of selbst after all the success she had prior to him making this remark, then theres atleast a 1% chance that ivey cannot put a name to thuritz face.

Ivey totally plays up the "I don't know you" thing.

Obviously it can never be proven unless he admits it, but I would bet my life he knew who Selbst was and he knew who Duhamel was. He had sat with both several times before. You are trying to tell me a brain like Ivey's totally forgets people he has sat with many times? He sits with them again and has zero recall?

Sure he doesn't need to know anything about them and sure he probably doesn't care about them or what their name is or blah blah, but forgets them completely?

I don't buy it for half a second. He remembers them and everything they did at the table. This is Phil Ivey ffs.

A lot of great names being thrown around but with two weeks of practice there is no doubt in my mind that Daniel Negreanu would be in the mix of names being discussed.

Shouldn't "all games" also include chess, Starcraft, Magic: The Gathering, League of Legends, go, Scrabble, and Pictionary? Perhaps also table tennis. Who are we looking at then?
