Would have been pretty funny if they did and then hid out and then guy would have tried to get away on foot. Although he probably would have car jacked someone, so I guess its good they didn't.
If the guy came back and his bike was missing the key, he'd be freaking out big time, and threaten to shoot ppl if they didn't give back his keys. So imagine that happened, and it took too long to get his keys back, he;d either kill ppl from the stress, or start running around trying to car jack someone, or put the gun to a cabbies skull. Honestly...letting him leave probably is the safest and smartest way to do it. They chips were so large that he clearly would have a problem cashing them in. Also, most ppl are ******ed, and in the same situation, anyone in the mindset he was in, would definitely skrew up, like trying to sell the chips to provotrout...
