Re: Belgium wanna apply same law as in France
I wouldnt mind writing some mails in either Dutch, French or English. If someone can give me a draft of what should be in it I can make this.
What do we need ?
- A site ? A place were people can be put on a mailing list to update them for more information or meetings ?
- A dedicated Skype group ? Done, if you want to be added just add not2secure4u on skype and mention that you want to be in the group. This will be alot easier to discuss. Even if there arent alot of people online people will still see your messages when you log in.
Please provide me some feedback I am just brainstorming here ...

A site would be nice, but not really needed. I think the belgium player base is too small. The site should be in dutch and french but it would be better to also offer it in english.
I think we should start by gathering a list of pokerplayers willing to actually sign the petition (dunno if ppl are willing to give up anonymity.). And yes, we need ppl who speak french and can contact the MR and PS. PS will be a pain in the ass because they just want more taxes all the time. So if we can't convince the PS then it's GG for poker in belgium. The parties you gotta convince atm is the PS, N-VA and Cd&V. MR and Open Vld are against new taxes but for a regulation.
Dutch: Ik denk niet dat een skype group echt goed is. Ik gebruik amper skype en mijn headset is kapot. Misschien moeten we beginnen met een kleine fb-groep ofzoiets.
Everyone who wants to join a movement, pm me with e-mail+name (idc if it's your real name or not). If we get around 20 ppl, willing to donate something like 3$, we can create our own site and such. We will need a decent designer (i suck at sitebuilding and such), a translator for french and such.
I want to help, trying to make a difference, i hope others join too.

Ok, I can take care of the site so let me know if you want to work something out. If we all add some $ this will be easily attained.

Re: Belgium wanna apply same law as in France
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
When they came for the French,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a French.
When they came for the Belgian,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Belgian.
...
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

Have you payed attention to any of the sweeping legislation that's passed in the last 20 or so years? They don't vet anything for constitutionality.
This will be just another example of abuse of the interstate commerce clause.

There are more, but nobody really knows what to do imo.
Anyhow, I'm willing to fund a host and url, would be nice to have someone with some experience in sitebuilding to build a site (free).
I can take some premade site, and put some stuff on it, but it'll be better if it looks a bit decent.
I finally got a reply back from a member of the 'N-VA', and he gives some cheapass answer of why they want a country-based sites.
I replied on that, I hope we can get somewhere.
