and this one too. Come man, we are all (hard working) adults. Who are they to tell us what we can and can not do in our spare time! its our money, our time!
you may spend 100000000000000€ on smokes, clothes, luxury, no biggie! but 0.22€ is the max u can spend on poker, seriously? I think for one that we belgians are too lazy/dumb to stand up for ourself, our wills and believes and rely on the fact that the others will go out on the street and protest. I think we should make a stand as a community, it's the only way!

So if I understand right, only Pokerstars and Partouche will have a pokerroom in Belgium.

It means that we will probably be able to play on all the others.. I really doubt that they are able to block the other sites effectively.

Absolutely not. You must have a physical casino to have a license.
Namur -> Pokerstars
OOstende -> Partouche

There 're 7 casinos remaining :
Spa -> same group than namur
Knokke, dinant and chaudfontaine -> Partouche
Blankenberge and middelkerke -> Grosvenor
Bruxelles -> Austria casino

Kenny, what about the stellar and milestone rewards? Belgian player playing on pokerstars.be will not have it?

I saw you change the vip shop. No more cash bonus and also no more live event package. Are live event packages no permitted by law?

hmmm this is an important question. Playing SNGs without milestones and stellars on Stars would suck very hard with the state of the games...

Re: Belgium wanna apply same law as in France

this is amazing for tournament players, but a disaster for cash game players.

Why on earth are tourney player pools merged and not cash game ones? Sometimes I wonder how politicians in our country get elected. Really what kind of legislation is this? How retarded can u be?

And if our politicians were concerned about the players (not losng too much, no addictive gambling, etc..) The reason they legalized it to begin with... Why not allow cash bonuses - doesn't they reduce losses from losing players??? So where's the logic?
If anybody can explain that to me....

Also hilarious that a very good MTT or sitandgo specialist can earn hundreds of thousands/year, all tax free and probably can get some unemployment benefits on top of that. LOL.

AH yeah i forgot, according to the gaming commission poker is gambling and hence u cant make money on the long term. Forgot...

Tournaments aren't poker.

Also, while I find it terrible for cash game players and really feel sorry for you guys, there is some logic to it. You need 9 players to start a 9man tournament, you don't need 9 people to start a full ring cash game table, people can sit in and start playing until the table is full.

I think PS had a very big data report on the effect of seperating the player pools and it probably was really ugly for SNGs/tourneys(almost didn't run anymore), while cash tables were much less affected. Though this would be for France and Italy, both way bigger than Belgium and the game is more popular over there.

Re: Belgium wanna apply same law as in France

So what if you get moved to the .be site, and decide to move to the UK at a later date... can you just ask stars to move all of your funds to the .com site/grant you access again?

Also, for stuff like staking people etc can we still do transfers with players that aren't Belgians?

Re: Belgium wanna apply same law as in France

Italy only allows sng's and tournaments and treats them similar to lotteries for tax purposes.

Cash game tables will be just as much affected as the tourneys. PS.be is going to be way too small for cashgame players. They could just as well don't offer cashgames if you are only going to be able to play against belgian players. If you are lucky there will be one NL2 game running once day with more than 3 players, and on a good day when you are lucky maybe even a NL5 game

You guys are screwed.
