You clearly misunderstood. I never said Micon isn't credible. I'm saying Micon's source in this instance wasn't credible.

To put it plainly, if the source is Brandi (which it was), its probably safe to say she wants you to print something >50% inaccurate. And given the subject matter, what a terrible mistake to make on Micon's part.

omg, that thread was BS. Annette one of the nicest persons from everything I've seen, read about her, or chatted with her at a table online, (yes, she is nice enough to talk to even smucks like me).

Seems to me, the mods missed quite a few bannings from that thread alone. Have no opinion on the bannies from this thread. Perhaps a national ban all posters day would be nice. Lets do it on April 14th, so I can get my taxe's done on time.

Not just that Annette thread in BBV though that was clearly pretty mean-spirited. But also some of the posts in the NVG thread about her recent tournament win. Just a few that caught my eye. Maybe they were never reported to mods and they just weren't paying attention to the thread and that's understandable.
Or they just didn't think such a tone was inappropriate considering that pretty much the exact same stuff happened 100x over in the thread about her in BBV.

Seems strange to me but I just assumed that a thread that big would have been read by 1 or 2 of the mods and therefore the fact that it continued like that was an approval in a way that it somehow wasn't over the line or going to be deleted.

That is really mild compared to the sexual comments about women players who are also posters here. Gossip is fine, but some of the locker room stuff is over the top.

Even with Brandi's reputation, I don't think some of the stuff Sklansky was posting lately should be allowed.

Nobody cares about that radio link stop posting it.

In that case then it obviously had some amount of approval from the mods or, in the very least, they determined it wasn't delete-worthy.
FWIW - I wasn't too bothered by that thread because it just seemed to go with the flow of a lot of the other stuff that 2+2 seemed to obviously be tolerant of...and perhaps even welcomed or approved of for the increased traffic/attention.

But it certainly wasn't at all a case of the posts needing to be reported so that the mods could be made aware of them as Mat was claiming.

Although I believe that a post that is 'reported' notifies both the mods of that forum as well as to the admins. So Mat can still claim the argument that HE would have done something about it that his mods chose not to do had he been made aware of the thread.

But to imply that the thread pretty much only continued because they jsut didn't know what was happening there obviously can't be correct if a mod saw enough of the thread to determine it lock-worthy.

I agree it's commendable and am somewhat happy that 2+2 appears to be making strides towards something that resembles a higher road and getting out of the gutter a bit even if they may be doing some things along the way that I disagree with such as banning druff.
