about 8 years ago when i started playing on stars I met this guy on the tables and we played and talked all day and he became somewhat of a friend. But one day to the other he was gone. Fast forward 3 years Im trashtalking this hillbilly from northern america and get a 2 week chatban and what happens ? my good old friend from years back appears on my table and tries for an hour talking to me not realising im chat banned. This was the last time I ever heard from him and to this day I still miss you Benwahballs2

Life lesson, dont be rude in chat .

i'm usually friendly to the recs and anyone else who is friendly at the tables. I troll the tools who are bad winners and spam the chat like you op.

I got my chat on ftp permabanned early on in the poker boom. I think 2004-05. Ftp moderators didn't play back then. It was for talking **** in the nosebleed chats.

It sucked cause I could never "chat with the pros". I appealed years later and they would never overturn the ban

I often see ppl berating fish at the tables, it's so dumb.
If someone is playing bad then that's great for you and everyone else at the table, just keep on playing them and take their money. If someone berates them then they just get uncomfortable and leave, making the game harder for everyone left at the table.
Trash-talking isn't part of the game, it's just bad for the game. Everyone who is good at poker should be going out of their way to welcome lesser players, 'fun-players' or whatever you want to call them.
It's universally acknowledged that tapping the fish tank is bad for everyone involved in the game.

I remember the USA Party Poker days when they would "time out" you from chat for like 30 days, or 90 days, etc. lol, happened to me once.
