It's RETRO AP/UB IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE TO ANYONE.
I play the site everyday for years, I know the player pool like the back of my hand sometimes, I swear to this. I remember things lol before the merge, when the merge happened, after merge, after certain updates, new screen names, old screen names and now everything is like a big SCRAMBLE if that makes any sense. RETRO. Tell me what it means.
Think of it like this..... the player pool that has existed for the last 6 months is gone for the most part... and now it seems the player pool I remember from 2-3 years ago is back in full force. it's not coincidence, cannot be.

Re: Another hole in UB and AP security

New update, only 9,000 players online @ UB right now, wow, usually 12,000-15,000.
05-14-2010, 03:47 PM
There are 15,000 players online right now. There are usually around 20,000 around this time.
05-15-2010, 10:47 AM
13,000 on right now. Might be a big day, I've seen 25,000-30,000 on a SATURDAY. Let's see.
05-15-2010, 02:56 PM
peak hrs right now on a SATURDAY, only 18,500. WOW
05-15-2010, 06:48 PM
I usually see 25-27k on a SATURDAY. 19.5 was max population today
05-16-2010, 12:22 PM
17,700 on right now, biggest day of the week obv. Sunday may make it all go away.
05-16-2010, 04:02 PM
21.5K, peak hrs, wow
05-16-2010, 06:17 PM
they just ran update, as the software loads it says establishing SSL connection. live update, NOW!
05-16-2010, 08:49 PM
go back through the last 4 pages or so and look at the times i posted how many ppl were actually online and what was typical before the news, the fact that an update happened two hrs ago and now all of a sudden...
05-16-2010, 08:50 PM
how does an update occur and then all of a sudden there is an insane boost in population? what does it mean? are they smudging the numbers?
05-16-2010, 09:25 PM
Very believable, but you really telling me that I'm playing it says something around 17,000 then i log off, log back in, but have to update, all of a sudden there is 8k more, not sure maybe a lag...

btw, 15.5K online right now

I also have information on May 6th, really weird things that happened abnormally. I keep data, research, study the fields, know the players, contact me if you think I'm onto something or you feel you can help. Thank you.

Probably because (exactly has been suggested), they probably broke out some bots or house accounts to fill out the room. To give their casual customers the appearance that everything is back to normal.
The bigger question is, wouldn't you be better served to just move your money to a site that is uncorrupted?

Please tell me this isn't how Hand Grabbers for Bodog work.

I didn't claim the counts were incorrect, just the stuff on the other side of the page. Carry on.

^Why is the site full of bots cheating people out of money as I type this? I have proof. Explain. Carry on.
It says 17,000 are on. which is very low, and not only that but I'd bet that 20-40% of the population are bots if not more, it's not hard to see, based on the lobby, my hand histories, data entries in hold em manager, these names i'm talking about stick out like a soar thumb when you look at my entries, truly disgusting.
The bots make sure to sign off from the Absolute Buddy as soon as the match ends, literally

Re: Another hole in UB and AP security
100_Racks; calm down. Smoke em if you got em. Shoot back some Cuervo Black. Breathe....
First off, no matter which measure we use for traffic, using the site's own number is silly. We have no idea how this number is tabulated and it could be easily manipulated internally. If the only thing required was to show a consistent or higher population, then bots would be unnecessary because they could just write a script to populate this number.
My post about bots was intended to suggest that the site could in fact populate low limit games with artificial players in order to spoof the traffic sites like Pokerscout who do more of a "true" count of actual player seats. The purpose of such a bot sitting scheme might be only to assure the customer base that players are not flocking away from the site to prevent a run on deposits.
It is an enormous leap to go from some basic conjecture (admittedly without much substance) about population bots to the place where botware is in some kind of frenetic rape the remaining players before the ship sinks mode. Now if Spotlight Poker goes active, then the FRTRPBTSS doomswitch probably gets thrown.

Geez, was a big deal made out of this at the time? In the Spring - Fall of 2006, I played up to 100/200 (might even have been 200/400...i forget) LHE on Pacific with an absolute maniac (his stats were something like 70/35 even with 5-6; HU it was prob something like 85/50) and he soul-raped me...never felt right about it at all and i'm not a conspiracy theorist type. I'd still guess that it's far more likely that I was just run over by a lucky donk, but he's the only opponent in my 6+ years online that has every pwned me that inexplicably. Q: to exploit that Pacific vulnerability, would a hacker need to have some sort of access to your computer/network, or could he sniff the entire stream in real-time from a remote location?
