As long as there are people like this that care more about soft games than the security of their funds(forget about integrity and commiting crimes) it seems this site will probably never die.

It's almost like UB could use it's cheating/stealing/incompetence as a marketing campaign to attract a site full of zelda's.

'UB.com .........regs hate us and the fish don't read 2+2'

Well.. they're definitely going to lose traffic as a result of this.

Regardless, the best way to cost them traffic isn't to try to dissuade professionals from playing. It's to discourage recreational players from playing.

Re: Another hole in UB and AP security?

i wish another site would come out that gets the same traffic as UB does. Right now theres only 3 sites you can play on, UB tilt and pstars. the rest are too small. and the bastards at tilt wont give me rakeback!!!!!!!!!

i might have to take a break from poker until i can find another site

FWIW my buddy that doesnt even play all that much at Full Tilt just emailed them a week ago about enabling rakeback on his current account and within a week he was getting rakeback. Keep trying, it should work eventually

Re: Another hole in UB and AP security?

btw, are there any poker magazines that don't accept advertising from UB after the previous scandal? They should probably be reporting this story so that maybe the word can get out to recreational players not to play there anymore (obviously magazines that UB advertises in would be reluctant to report on anything that bashes their source of income, esp considering that if they were gonna "do the right thing" they probably would have done it already when the cheating allegations first came up).

While this is a fkd up leak, those saying to run for the hills are way off.

To get hacked you would need to

a) be using wifi. (prob less than 1% of all players)

b) have a hacker within your wifi vicinity, who is specifically looking to target you.

I think its less about this hole, and more about the continued suckitude of the site.. the first problem was a legacy of the site, this is a newly developed problem.. no reason to think there won't be more.. in fact reason to believe there will be....

As someone (I think jalex) pointed out earlier, the traffic between your computer and AP/UB servers is vulnerable at every point along the way, meaning someone who works for ISPs that handle AP/UB traffic or has access to the network that the AP/UB servers reside on could exploit this

Less than 1% of all players? Could you please explain this?
