Is he really serious? I would be all for a new tourney series with low rake, and reasonable blind levels and structure.

Seriously, what exactly do you think happens in Limit tournaments? Personally, I show up at least 50 min late to any high stakes limit tourney as the first two levels are pretty worthless (due to low blinds). If you want to talk about the later levels jumping too fast, fine. But even there, you need to reach that equilibrium which turns out to be about 10-12 BB avg stacks (for online and high stakes live LIMIT tourneys).

why did nobody else think about doing tournaments with better (longer?) structures and less rake? where its also more unlikely to win for the worse players?

I'm tired of ppl bitching about tournament structes. Structure sheets are readily availible before any tourny you play. If you dont like it....then dont play. imo

The 10k HORSE started with 19 players, I'd think Jack and co. expected a few more than that.

Allen, will this be organized as a charity event? because no BUSINESS entity with a mandate to MAKE money will host your tourneys. you want a tournament to have great structures, have low rake, hire professional dealers, be conducted in a professional and comfortable setting, be great for all the players (the aggros as well as the nitts), and still be profitable for the host casino/entity? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN...

Borgata comes very very close to delivering most of those points, but then some complain of a slightly higher than some rakes...that's probably as good as you're going to get

but what if you win the tourney with a bad structure? the brilliancy of OP is that he usually leaves the complaining for AFTER he busts out, gets shut-out of a tourney, or min-cashes and ends up NOT winning it...but if he happen to win one, he will never complain how bad the structure was...

As soon as I "got into" Twitter I followed all the poker players that tweet regularly. Needless to say, not a lot of them do I still follow. Annie Duke was one of the very first to go. And Joe Sebok just got unfollowed not that long ago. But Andy Bloch is probably the next to go. I have rarely read a positive tweet from him. It just kinda wears on ya after a while.
