Andrew Robl Talks about Poker Money....

Andrew Roble Talks(on an WSOP self-video blog) about Poker Money....on sites being trading money with a COMPANY for exchange/credit the poker site of your choice---basically selling money on a site for money transfer on another site--

I am not looking to do this, but are there legit company's that do this?

I heard he gets most of his money betting people how long they can stay in bathrooms at the Bellagio.

fwiw i've never understood why Poker Stars/FTP cant provide a service which allows them to do the player to player transfers? I mean it obviously cuts the scammers downs by a huge % and the community would be a better place imo.

+

Stars/FTP could make a HUGE amount of money through charging vig and stuff like that which would obviously increase their profits.

Thoughts?

The sites are not going to help you transfer your money to a competing site. Now see if you can pick out the key word in that sentence.

If the transfers were between stars and ftp it would basically be a wash for both companies as an equal amount would go either way.

They could charge, say, 2 or 3% for administration and do their customers a great service.

I certainly understand why the big sites wouldn't entertain transfers to smaller sites.

In Vegas you can change the chips of big casinos anywhere (Bellagio, Wynn or Harrah's) ... but the smaller casinos chips are worthless outside their own casino.

Interconnected ownership and agreements. Not so between poker sites, as well as bad for business.

yeah, but would u rather have the 20k of a players account gaining interest for you, and the possible rake that will eventually go with it, or 1% of vig and giving your custom away to a competitor.?

Re: Andrew Roble Talks about Poker Money....

Well it would make sense that the site would get 20Kish into another guys account so they shouldn't be losing any funds, unless one site has easier cashout methods and that's the specific purpose for the trade.

In your dreams. This opens the door to money laudering and easily transferring $$ into and out of the country. This is a sticky mess that the poker sites don't want anything to do with (if they're sane), as it will make them subject to some banking laws. While you may find brokers who have their feet in both sites who might do this service for you, I'm sure it's highly unlikely the sites themselves will put up with it.

In fact have'nt the sites clamped down on player-to-player exchanges since the UB scandal broke? It's my understanding that that's why they had probs tracking the $$, as it got passed from player to player, making it tought to follow.

Re: Andrew Roble Talks about Poker Money....

Poker sites have no need to do this outside of the US. Netteller and other ewallets make transferring large sums of money between sites pretty simple. Before the UIGEA US players had access to these tools. Hopefully they will again soon.
