I knew the guy was disliked by people who read NVG and the like, but I had no idea there was literally this much hate for him. He's not that bad, is he?

As i understand it you are both wrong. C4 does not receive license fee money but does receive government grants, although its primarily funded through ads/sponsorship etc, and does have a public service remit. So hes right in terms of his general argument if not technically.

Anyway pls stop arguing and get back to the interesting subject. Id imagine most of the people on the show could write off the donations against tax, but obviously this doesnt work for a poker player in the UK, so its either an act of extreme generosity or of someone desperate for exposure. Discuss.

I can imagine it being quite a fulfilling thing to do. I guess positive exposure for Andrew can only be good really due to his reputation being, shall we say, tarnished.

Cos I'm pretty sure that this hatred is a fairly recent thing? I mean someone can correct me if I'm wrong but this guy used to have a lot of fans a couple of years ago.

Great for Andrew. Although I find it lame that he has to be on a show to help the less fortunate.

Feldman is a cry-baby and comes across as a bit of a dick but if he's gonna help some less fortunate people that's never a bad thing. Maybe we'll get to see a different side of him. Maybe away from the felt he's a top bloke. Maybe he's a top bloke, with a soft heart but just a bit of a dick but mostly harmless. Case not proven ATM.

im suprised hes going on this tbh. Personally I would want to keep a lower profile.

I know hes been on the FTP cash game, but that is oly watched by poker fans really. Were as a show like this will be watched by the general public, so the general public will be made aware that he is wealthy. But maybe he wants that?

I dont think hes as bad a person as people make out he is. I mean hes not overyly a dick, gets on with ppl at the table just a bit of a nit really on the FTP cash game that was all (and i know there was the glass / bottle of water incident - but other than that...)
