I've never met Alan, but I've heard him on the radio several times (talking about college basketball) and I have to say that I like his style. A lot of people don't like him because he comes across as very abrasive, but he says what he thinks and he doesn't pull any punches. In my book, that has to be respected, whether you care for the delivery or not.
