I might be totally off the planet here, and if I am fair enough, I’ll stand corrected, but if not then it’s time for this lunacy to stop.

Poker sites should take off the gloves and fight back with all the so called “free countries” that have somehow with their complicated laws & legislation's stopped the “free” people of their “free countries” from playing online poker.

I understand why the poker sites have cowered to the demands of these countries, thinking that when they do finally pass legislation that they will be welcomed because they respected their laws, (I say respected, because they are not breaking any laws once they remove themselves physically from these countries, ie; offices, servers etc) but I think it’s time they realize this is NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. How long has it been in the USA? 2011? Or was it 2013? Can’t remember but whatever year it was it’s a dam long time.

More and more countries are passing these laws; Switzerland recently passed such laws at the beginning of the year. “IT’S NOT GETTING BETTER IT’S GETTING WORSE” The list is getting longer and longer. It’s got to stop or eventually there will be no countries left. I don’t think I’m exaggerating, I’m simply seeing what’s happening and what’s been happening since 2013 and have come to an obvious conclusion.

Didn’t PokerStars bailout Full Tilt Poker and pay all their players to get brownie points with the DOJ and US government? Has that born any fruit with the US? Sure there are some US States offering some form of online poker, but as far as I can see, it’s one brick wall after another, red tape after red tape. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

So what's my rant? I’ll use PokerStars as an example. They operate from the Isle of Man. They are regulated there and are not breaking any laws. They offer online poker on the free WORLD WIDE WEB (www) to the free people of the world. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but is there a “WORLD LAW” that prohibits companies from offering online gambling on the free WWW? In this case it’s online poker. Maybe there is and there is some “WORLD POLICE and WORLD COURTS” that polices this law and takes action and prosecutes such companies, then everything I’ve said and about to say is moot. But as far as I know there isn’t.

PokerStars and every other poker site have the right and freedom to offer online poker to whoever they want to. Why? Because they believe in people’s freedoms, people’s free will and people’s free choice and it's legal for them to offer it on the free WWW.

What right does any government from any country have to tell PokerStars who they should allow to play on their servers in their country? Shouldn’t PokerStars tell them well and truly where to go? Shouldn’t they actually say?

“We’re doing nothing wrong; we’re offering online poker to the free people of the world, on the free WWW, if you want to stop your people playing on our site then that’s up to you. You censor our site from your own country so your people can’t access our server” (Isn’t that what rogue countries like North Korea do?) “Don’t expect us to do your dirty work, you do it, you sensor and violate your own people’s rights because we’re not going to do it. If you want to make it illegal for your people to gamble overseas on online sites then that’s legislation you need to pass in your country, because we AIN’T GONNA DO THAT”

Do you really think western governments would go down that rabbit hole? Absolutely not! It would open up a can of worms. Remember these are the countries that enforce sanctions on countries like North Korea because they violate people’s freedoms. Are they going to start doing the same? Well I wouldn’t put anything past them, but it’s pretty safe to say they’re not going to go anywhere near that path.

In most, if not all the countries that have rid themselves of this “despicable heinous crime” of online poker, will still allow people to gamble on overseas gambling sites. ie: Americans still play online poker on sites like WPN and Bovada. It is not illegal for the people of these countries to gamble overseas, the governments don’t recommend it and warn people not to do it, but they haven't made it illegal, why? As I said, they don’t want to go down that rabbit hole so they’ve got the online companies to do it.

These governments have duped these pokersites into violating people’s freedoms and right’s because they know there is no way they can do it and get away with it.

PokerStars, PartyPoker, 888, WAKE UP!!!!!!!!. You’ve been patient; you’ve done everything they’ve wanted you to do, you've cowered to their every demand, and they've given nothing back to you. It’s time to make a stand and offer this great game of poker to the “FREE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD”

So if the Isle of Man says it’s legal to kill dogs through the internet, you are OK with them doing that in your country because “hey, free WORLD WIDE WEB”?

If you don’t like the laws in the country you live in, move somewhere else.

I did see that Stars has a new all-in freeroll where the winner gets a very tall steel slat. One time...

One can also read the OP's past manifesto where he believed he came up with a system to beat roulette. Hint, it rhymes with Cartingale (though to be fair he eventually realized the silliness of his ways in that thread).

Or get yourself elected to parliament and have a hand in making the laws. Governments do serve the people in democracies not the other way round.

Correct governments do serve the people in democracies, they make laws for the people, the law is that it's legal to gamble on overseas online gambling sites, what right has the government of one country to tell a company of another country to enforce laws they themselves are not prepared to pass?
