Lol no pro has the cash to buy in themselves. Have you heard of selling pieces? Many high roller mtt players sell close to 100%.

They had a bet over who was the most socially awkward.
Jungle won and Durrrr refused to pay up.

Does that mean we'll get a bunch of highstakes-crushers on Joe's podcast because they all want to grab some of the podcast-rungood?

+1 to all Durrrr/Jungleman in the same room/at the same table posts. Something tells me Durrr will be sitting out on Day 2 despite having a stack

whats more nuts is that hes only got 1.3mm in live tourney cashes over the past 20 years or whatever. Not saying thats awful or anything, but surely given the tourneys hes played in over the years he must be down quite a bit during that stretch

How can a large buy-in tournament stacked with pros be +EV for any individual pro?

zero rake....

with zero rake, even just 1 player who is much worse than the rest could make as many as all of the pros +EV. add rake and things look totally different.

$10 per half hour per player in Ivey's room, $7 per half hour per player on any other table

Skill level is relative....it's +EV for some and -EV for others.

Its the same with the LAPC. Almost everyone that enters that tournament is a pro. Any big buyin tournament is probably -EV if you aren't getting staked / selling action
