The analysis above is correct, or should certainly be factored in a lot for cash game regs who only play the occasional MTT.

As usual there are a lot of sheeple in poker who a) are either incapable of working out logic for themselves or b) obey all poker convention without questioning it and analysing it properly.

There are also factors regarding one's MTT edge. E.g. if you have a 60% edge/ROI then selling at 1.2 MU is a bad strategy if you can comfortably afford to finance the comp(s) yourself, regardless of variance.

Randomly found Xelas PGC, I think he would be a pretty interesting guest if you havent reached out for him. I dont know too much about him besides he had a pgc where he grinded from like nl100 to like 100/200 on stars and he was some kind of investment guy pre poker and eventually quit poker and started trading again (?) .. Always fun to hear what former crushers are up to but also these sort of more entrepenur guys seems to get a lot of love on the podcast..
